Berry & Clarke's misses are so bad.
I can see why Berry would want to take a touch & open up the goal.....its just his touch is too heavy & it runs away from him. Just enough for the defender to get in a tackle.

And for Clarke's chance we only need to be reminded of the words of Brian Clough......

"to miss from there you need bloody shooting"
Sandra Redknapp would've slotted that in.

I might be being ridiculous here , but maybe start getting behind the team now and stop moaning about , half & half scarves , jones ball , dug outs, Ko times affecting ya dinner etc , it’s all about staying up now , COYR
Yes you are being ridiculous, this is a fans forum set up for people to discuss the football club that we all support, good or bad. NJ & all of the players interviewed all say that the fans support is nothing short of magnificent so what do you mean START getting behind the team ???

Best I have seen us play for weeks so with the other results going our way not too upset
Keep that level of performance for the rest of the season and we will be absolutely fine
Easier said than done, just look at the Pompey & WBA performances.

Good performance and frustrating as we deserved a point.

Personally I think we’re bang in trouble.  It’s only the other sides behind the iron curtain that keep us afloat.  We’re a joke going forward and we’ll inch over the line on the basis of other teams’ inability.

I can’t see where our next win is coming from.

As sad as it was for Burke, joke of a signing.  The highest paid player in the team, certainly one of them, and we’ve had a pathetic return of minutes.  Budget that could’ve been spent on a central midfielder for example.

Communist football lines on in se7
Mate, the table doesn’t say we are ‘Bang in trouble’, we’ve work to do but I’d rather be where we are than West Brom and Leicester  and Oxford. Our performance deserved more today and shows we are in the fight and not just packing it in. Nothing fell for us today.
WBA and Leicester are a mess to be fair, but out of the 11 games left, I genuinely can’t see where we get our victories from, which is why I think we’re at the mercy of the others’ inability to get a win.  The performance today was very encouraging, but as it stands we will need to win some games.  Oxford could be right bang up for it now they’ve given themselves a chance.  Sheff Wed are done but who’s to say they can’t take a point off us at least.  Then we’ve got Boro away, Ipswich and Hull at home, all in the mix.  Watford, Bristol City, Preston, Brum, Norwich toss a coin.

Swansea on the final day, hopefully be alright by then, but 7 home games versus 4, big, big finish needed

As you know I'm usually very pessimistic but I cant see us not picking up a couple of wins and a couple of draws from Sheff Wed, Oxford, Watford, Bristol City, Preston & Hull. The others I think we'll lose but I think getting to 48 or 49 points should be enough.
"Give 'em the old razzle dazzle, razzle dazzle 'em."
So far you got 10 dazzled and people stopped calling you the 'C' word.
    Result.

A Wrexham v Millwall playoff final would be fucking horrific
No, it would be something to savour. One lot crying about how close they got to the 'Promised Land' and the other lot getting totally slaughtered next season. I don't care which one does what.

With the results of the clubs near us,a point would have been a real boost today!
We just find it so hard to score goals, appreciate it’s stating the obvious!

I don't at all. The simple thing is one touch, shoot. A seasoned pro should know that

Pretty sure that’s what he tried to do. It’s just his one touch was not a good one and the ball was then stuck in his feet. He then needed another touch to get the shot away, and by that point the chance was gone.

We’re Jeckyll and Hyde. Decent like today or god damn awful. Regardless of performance we simply must muster at least two more wins and avoid defeat in other games and it’s hard for me to see if we’re good enough to do that. This run in is going to be a close run thing. I wish we had a goal scorer.
Not a lot of Jeckyll lately

Can’t fault the work rate from the players yesterday but ultimately our inability to put away chances will cost us especially when we are on top of teams. Hope I’m wrong.

I like Harry Clarke a lot but he's cost us in two key moments in front of goal now. You can see why Jones initially went for an attacker he wanted to convert into a wingback given when our set up is working properly it provides goalscoring chances to the RWB. Apter couldn't be arsed to learn how to defend but Bree took his chances at the start in a way that Clarke doesn't seem to be able to. It goes to show though that as much as we need an improved midfield, finding a RWB with the defensive nous and ability to read the game that Clarke has coupled with some actual finishing ability would probably be the best signing we could make in the summer
  • It was good to see us having a go and showing some attacking intent.
We have obvious limitations in our squad, not least in front of goal, but good to see us moving the ball a bit more through midfield.
Why is it we tend to do this against the so called 'better teams' whilst playing 'try not to lose hump ball' against those teams around us?
Good that only Oxford gained on us.
The next couple will be interesting. How will we set up and play?
Got to get a couple of wins and a few draws from somewhere - can't just rely on beating Wendies and Oxford etc as we make hard work of those games.
Was encouraged by yesterday - COYR's get us over the line........

It's like you need 2 players - a defender who can defend and a winger who can score 🤷‍♂️

Good performance with a frustrating result. All the best chances fell to the wrong people, until Carey drew a wondersave from their keeper, but that's what happens when you have so many defensive minded players on the pitch. If, like me, you saw Harry Clarke during the shooting practice you weren't surprised he missed. If he wasn't blazing it over he was dragging it wide.

Wrexham must have had an off day because there's no way they should be challenging for playoffs on that showing. Oh, and their fans were awful. So quiet for what was decent numbers

33 in 35 is the problem.

Let's be honest with the Godden injury at his age we knew this season would be a struggle for him but the rest of the numbers for our attackers just isn't good enough. There was talk over the summer about NJ going for quantity over quality and it does feel that way. Harvey Knibbs being in the top four goal scorers given his game time says it all. If we stay up we MUST improve up top

Highlights showed two great blocks by Kayne and Collins.
But how did we not score after those chances for Berry, Clarke, Campbell and Carey?! I was at the game, but they looked even worse misses on the highlights. I'll excuse Carey from criticism though, because he struck the ball well and their keeper pulled of one helluva save. Berry could have swept the ball into the net withought taking that heavy touch. Clarke... aaagh! And Tupac had a pretty simple header.
Hopefully they'll learn from the improved performance though.

Frustrating result yesterday but Wrexham did what we've done to a lot of teams this season, defended well, rode their luck, keeper makes great save, took their only real chance.

Three more wins or two wins and three draws should be enough to see us safe at which point we can start the needed rebuild.
