I’d imagine it’s extremely unlikely. The club simply isn’t in a position to risk spending millions on a player when issues arose during the medical.

Agents are a real problem in football and it needs sorting. If that’s the reason the JRS deal has slowed, I’d still fancy our chances. At the end of the day the agent works for JRS not the other way around.
Agents have held off transfers in order to get themselves more money in the past and continue to do so. Often without their clients knowledge.
Bowyer suggested that Joe Aribo moved to Scotland and agent had not informed him of the interest from Aston Villa. If that is true, it would be down to the deal that was better for him.
To my mind there is a distinct possibility that the deal that was agreed yesterday is still in place, but the agent wants us to match the fee he would have got from Burnley.
It is about time that payments from clubs to agents were banned and players paid their agents themselves.4 -
A failed medical would be completely understandable to pull out. Just hope we've got another quality target we're happy to spend a good fee on.4

That sounds more like we are the club playing games. Trying to negotiate the fee down following 'findings' in his medical when the deal is all but done.11 -

Not sure I believe this failed medical at all. Feels like it's a way for the club to back out of the deal or try to get Palace to lower the price.5

If JRS has failed a medical, then let's move on, if he signs for Burnley by the end of the window, I hope people on here remember that £5m for us is a huge outlay, but £5m for them with parachute payments is chicken feed, so they can afford to take a punt on it more2

If the reason behind us pulling out of the Rak Sakyi deal really is due to a failed medical or issues within the medical, then I think we can all agree that it’s totally the right thing to back out of the deal, as frustrating as it is. I just hope we have someone of a similar ilk lined up as an alternative. I’m sure we’d have prepared for this in one way or another, because you quite simply have to. I hope this also shows we are prepared to spend the money on a suitable RW as well, and I really hope that these injury issues to the defenders last night don’t stop that from happening.With all of that said, I’m quite intrigued as to how we’ve found issues within Rak Sakyi’s medical, but players like Reece Burke & Collins Sichenje were able to pass it with seemingly no problems whatsoever, especially given they’ve both spent more time in the medical room than on the pitch for us.3
