Lets not forget Bindon was a top signing that we hadnt originally budgeted for..... you're probably looking at Bindon / Skipp instead of JRS....
JRS / Bindon wasnt an option - and with Collins getting his injury we had nowhere else to go.17 -
No, somewhere in between is far more likely.Crispywood said:Skipp has the potential to go very well or absolutely abysmally no in between.13 -
100% - anyone who says otherwise has their head up their arse - doesn't mean we've had a shit window overall but a disappointing end to itElliotCAFC said:Yann897 said:
Nkeng being the only winger brought in is a bit underwhelming. We desperately need a quality right winger who can provide on the opposite flank what TC does so well on the left.
After all the talk about keeping our powder dry and bids for a fan favourite like JRS, it's hard not to feel a little disappointed to end up with a 19-year-old, right-footed left winger, who is a bench option at AFC Wimbledon.
Maybe an excellent signing for the future, but it doesn't feel like one that solves our current needs.

I’m really not a fan of it if it’s a loan. I just don’t see the point0

Fuck it, I’m doing it anyway.FishCostaFortune said:I’ll get a back, sack and cracky if we end up still signing Jes Rak-Sayki.21 -

I'm talking about being ready for where we are now. Not bothered about four years down the line, we need a decent RW now.RC_CAFC said:
If someone from the Championship had taken Leaburn off us at 19 we would have been absolutely gutted and said how envious we were of that forward thinking club (e.g. when Brentford took Konsa off of us). A player doesn’t need to be a ‘BIG’ name in order to be an excellent signing.PringlesCurtains said:
What a let down. If that's the only winger then that's crap. I know nothing about the kid but if he's a 'proper talent' someone would've taken him earlier and not just linked with supposed clubs.Yann897 said:
We are top of the league with 3 wins from 3. We have 3 players who can play RW, 1 of them caused havoc and got an assist in the last game for our winner. We are doing just fine.
Can not every situation be built up to a crisis?26 -
As if we or anybody are going to be picking up the full £50k a week. Leicester will be picking up most of it. Even if it’s a permanent transfer I should imagine they would need to pay a sizeable amount to him. He doesn’t want to play league 1 football, they don’t want him and can’t afford to be paying that kind of money.SouthLincsAddick said:
Imagine the meltdown on here if NJ has decided to spend the JRS money on Skipp's £50k a week wages for one year!0 -
Where’s the skipp rumour come from?0

Would have liked a right winger on loan but with Cozier-Duberry off to Boro and Romain Esse maybe off to Millwall, I’m not sure there is a player available for us.Rak-Sakyi would have been the dream but I’m sure the club has good reason to have pulled out of the dealI suppose we could probably have got Ogbene if we’d wanted him but tbh I’m quite happy we chose not too2

Did I just read Allan Campbell and Oliver Skipp get compared or is my head on mars? If we can shift a few, I don’t think there’s a question that he improves the team
After the injury crisis in mid week, I didn’t expect the RW signing to be a world beater after we had to loan in Bindon. The prospect of Nkeng is exciting and something we should absolutely continue to do. Hope we get the Finnish kid for the same reason
We tried to make the best of a bad situation and I’m still happy with the business

Wonder what is gonna happen to JRS....... This mess has totally done him up like a kipper. Surely no English club will push ahead with it if we walked away due to valid reasons.3

I'd prefer a loan personally. Would likely mean we aren't paying all of his wages and it's a chance to see if the last two years were an anomaly or where he's at nowAberystwythAddick said:I’m really not a fan of it if it’s a loan. I just don’t see the point0 -
Can't see him going to any of the countries with later closing windows (Scotland,MLS,Turkey) - this could leave him playing U21s until Jan.DamoNorthStand said:Wonder what is gonna happen to JRS....... And it sounds like the agent stuff might be too messy for a mutual termination. I think he ends up stuck at Palace until JanuaryDamoNorthStand said:Wonder what is gonna happen to JRS....... Guess a loan to a Celtic/Rangers or Hearts if nothing gets sorted today and then his form could earn him a move in Jan.DamoNorthStand said:Wonder what is gonna happen to JRS....... Please, I beg you, dont post the evidence on here🙏FishCostaFortune said:

Maybe we will be staying close to him as that situation plays out.... although lets see how this season plays out first.....2

Seems we been a bit hasty thinking we are signing a midfielder from Leicester. We have hired one to take Burke away.

Awaiting the start of Charlton TV's monthly on youtube. There were some adverts and it gave me a "skip" option. I said yes, hope that's okay.8

Hold on, almost everyone has at some point said all we "need" now is a RW, or "Why did we have 3 LW's". We turn around and sign another LW and we're not allowed to say what is the thinking here? It's not a crisis, no. But it's a strange one when we don't have a natural first team ready RW.balham red said:

You can have Doc though!Weegie Addick said:My Wimbledon mate on Nkeng:Very exciting youngster, happy to take people on, a bit raw but will mature with age. Worth at least a million. Shame we can't have Kanu.

Great news - still think he has great potential.2
