    Doesn't seem to have worked out for him at Auxerre , spent last season out on loan at Lausanne in the Swiss league scoring 6 in 23. 

    Fits the profile of striker NJ likes but not someone I suspect is on our shopping list.

    Bair was injured earlier in the year so didn't make it into the Canada squad for the world cup, I think but for the injury he'd have been in with a good shout of being in there.

    It actually looked alright on the shirt and to be fair to Betdaq they did donate their final season of sponsorship to Children with cancer charity. Not that I'd want another betting company (obviously).

    This time it has leaked which is a surprise given how little transfer news seeps out these days.

    It does beg a few questions, none of which I expect to get an answer to here, about why the betting co. deal collapsed, who authorised it, does the departure of Ed Warrick and the arrival of Terry Brown connect to this and would things have been different if we had a CEO in place?

    Although I am a regular punter on the horses I hope that I never see a betting logo on our shirts. However I am convinced that it would make no difference to a compulsive gambler.

    It would be interesting to see what Jones could command in a fee. His stats are excellent, caveat being he plays as the main defender in a team that don’t enjoy having possession. 

    You’d think that West Ham would be looking at implementing a dominant possession heavy style given the standard of player they have.  Additionally they would know that he wouldn’t be good enough to play in the prem if and when they go up. 

    Taking age into account surely we don’t get more than 2 mill?

    His market value vs what he is worth to us are different things however.

    I still don’t believe it at all that West Ham want to sign him. For the reasons you state there I just don’t see it 

    As for value, his value to us is much higher than what you’d usually expect his market value to be given age and contract length. I wouldn’t even flinch for anything below £5m but to me he should be untouchable because selling him would massively increase our chances of relegation which would cost us far more than that

    I'd be shocked if West Ham were in for Lloyd Jones, would assume he wouldn't fit their style and if they did get promoted he wouldn't get a game.

    Yeah 100%. Whatever the loss of earnings would be with relegation is your start point for negotiations I would say.
