They are two different players? One has experience in the championship and the other had a good season in division 2.

Wouldn’t be 100% sure, that the team that finished just outside the relegation zone in the Bundesliga, has more money than a team outside the relegation zone in the Championship.
I would be. Werder Bremens squad value is over 140 million. Ours is 29 million.

They signed a player for 10 million last season and their wage bill absolutely dwarves ours, by a lot as well. Their top players will be on anywhere between 20-60k a week.

Stoke who finished outside the relegation zone might get near them, no one else will. If it's us or them, he would be picking them.
As people go on about on here, £8.5m is about what you spend at the top of the Championship, and most established Championship sides could outspend Werder comfortably.
They received just under £40m in TV money last season. We got £11m. They also regularly fill their 42k stadium, they have 40,000 paid up members.  A newly relegated FAPL club with big support like West Ham with parachute money might just about be able to match them. And that's about it.

Werder Bremen averaged over 40,000 last season. And received top flight German TV money and sponsorship deals.

Some people seriously don't think they could offer better wages?!?
True, £35m from TV, but the money through the gate is lower in Germany, and there is no owner backing due to screwed up way football is in Germany.

We don’t know if they would spend the money on the wages, and whether Werder are actually interested in the player. There also not the club people remember them as

    Kaheim gone to turkey

Same club as the one where the Turkish X fan account said they’d signed Asiimwe.
So they're either signing both, or the fan heard they're signing a right sided player from Charlton last week and went through our squad on Transfermarkt and decided it was Asiimwe, but it was actually Dixon

This would be a good move .. won’t be long term lucky to get 2 year deal .. but would allow Leaburn to go out on loan .. Dykes is a far better target man and with better service will do a job

Lerburn ain't going out on loan. He is the most suit profile wise to what Jones had at Luton . Also why do you claim your a scout that works for the club and live in Spain on X. Very odd behaviour.

Maybe my snottyness to the Bundersliga is coming out, silly league set up for one club with silly precious rule. At least Ligue 1 is honest about it

Leaburn going out on loan or sold would be a great idea. Keep the upgrade in Dykes! Miles needs to improve his game and a loan to a league 2 club would be a perfect fit.

Shame about Dixon as he undeniably has talent but really needed to bulk up and I can't see Eastern Europe being any easier in that regard.

Really lovely chap but needed to be playing

I’m thankful for what he did last season but will be gutted if Dykes is anywhere near starting this season and I can’t see him coming back to be a squad player

Nope it wouldn't. He got the highest ceiling out all the current fowards. He game improved massively last year after he start to trust he body again. He's still got to work on parts of he's game for sure but he more than capable at playing at this level now. He's profile always takes longer to develop anyway.

No chance ward prowse coming here, his wage demands will be huge!
    He’s also far too good.

That does not narrow things down too much.

Charlie will be pleased. Always appeared to have a vested interest in the lad when he joined us around the same time of the Mount Pleasant link up in Jamaica which Methven was a part of
I wonder how much he gets out of this deal.

For me avoiding relegation would make next season a great season.
It is of course the first and main aim. But I don’t think a 21st place finish will constitute a great season. And I don’t believe Nathan Jones or the hierarchy would either.

They’ve definitely got their sights set on continuing improvement and development for the club.

We have to be realistic that, purely in terms of budget we have a battle on but I remain optimistic that there are 3 more good signings coming our way to give us a better finish than last season.
21st is very good. It keeps us in one of the most competitive leagues and means we are always one good season away from Premier League football. I don’t know how anyone who looks at the quality of this league and how low our budget is, and can think 21st isn't a big achievement. I would take that right now.
And not call for NJ to be sacked during a bad run? Because if we're finishing 21st we are likely going to have a number of them.

I would think if that was the case during the season we'll have a change of manager.

Why would Leaburn who has all the attributes of a Nathan Jones striker go anywhere? He's still developing and just needs an injury free season.

This is the season Miles properly arrives if he's going to I reckon. As a previous poster said he's over the injuries and trusts his body again. I noticed a difference in his game after Dykes arrived and he seemed to discover some housery and used his physique to bully defenders.

Its make or break I think, he's got the ability and the characteristics that Jones values in a striker and has shown enough to be worth keeping for at least another season.
That said, if he personally underwhelms throughout next season (but we stay up) then if ruthless remains the watchword he could be on the chopping block.

If he’s not doing it by Christmas we have to move him on. Never known someone to have so many chances and “This is going to be his year, I can feel it”

I personally don’t see it, since the injuries he’s lost any pace he had and for the size of him gets bullied. I hope he proves me wrong by the way but really don’t see it. Maybe the new formation change with the pacey wide men will help, you never know

Controversially I think Leaburn is nowhere near good enough and should be moved on. Genuinely think if he wasn't 2 metres tall he wouldn't be pro. Hopefully I'm proven wrong if we're giving him a chance.

He needs crosses which last season we really weren’t delivering well enough. New formation with wide men might improve the supply and then hopefully he will start scoring more regularly
