If we do sign Holsgrove which I doubt then it’ll be very late in the window. He has lots of interest and his agent will want to keep that bubbling as long as possible.2

I would naturally prefer Charlton to own the stadium / training ground, but there are others that are in the same position across the various leagues - highest profile probably being West Ham. In order to bring it together we would want / need a benefactor like Coventry where he bought back the ground (last year?) and invested well into the squad - but that was after a few years of mid table / pushing playoff finishes.
We should look at them as a blueprint for how to navigate the next 3-5 years.
They are valuing the club at £50m - £100m I assume. Why would anyone commit that level of money to a business that could be homeless (and therefore fucked) in 14yrs.0 -

As a manager he was once asked what he had learnt from managers he had played under. He said that after a game one of his ex managers would go into the changing room, say well played lads and see you at training tomorrow. That took all emotion out of it and they would then sit and analyze the game the following day.
He liked that and decided to take it into his management at Charlton.
Then we played and lost to Wimbledon away and he said as he walked over the pitch to the changing rooms he kept reminding himself what he needed to do. He got to the changing room, went mad and in that moment, realized that most people have a green, amber and red but that he didn't have an amber.
As an aside, I remembered the game and him walking over the pitch looking like he was chewing a wasp and going to go berserk so it didn't surprise me at all !

Just seen a post from a Charlton fan stating if it’s true we have kept our powder dry to buy two influential players the timing of this has been a disaster. Agents will be wary and player’s alike. So, if it’s untrue the club is up for sale for the benefit of recruitment why don’t the club make a statement clearly outlining the club isn’t up for sale?0

Our 2018/19 midfield of Aribo, Bielik and Cullen were better than we had now and if we had kept those three plus Gallagher, we would’ve easily stayed up in the 19/20 season7

I think he was hot headed but had learned how to mask it as a manager and actually be calm. The issue is, if that is your nature, a bit of adversity can bring it out again. On the other side of that it can give you an edge too.MillwallFan said:

Jones is an emotional manager and doesn't see anything wrong with giving it back when he has to take it. I think he is very supportive of his players and those that like him, play hard for him.2 -
