Heard from a good source that Ouma is signing17

I would have thought not, that's the whole idea of "option to buy*LargeAddick said:
That's why I'm asking. Can someone offer more and nab him?eastterrace6168 said:
I suppose if we meet their valuation he's our's...LargeAddick said:With an option does that mean we have first dibs or if he does well can another club nip in and nab him.

His last move was a loan with an option to buy deal that fell through, so makes sense this is the same. Sensible business by the club this.6
-
Happy with the loan as it does seem that he gets himself into 'disciplinary' issues!2

Or it’s all Nathan has the budget for?, hope it’s the club being sensible reason.TheHerminator said:His last move was a loan with an option to buy deal that fell through, so makes sense this is the same. Sensible business by the club this.0 -
His last move to Lech Poznan wasn't was it? A recent loan to another club just collapsed though which I think included an option to buy. Bratislava was it?TheHerminator said:His last move was a loan with an option to buy deal that fell through, so makes sense this is the same. Sensible business by the club this.0 -
That’s Mario Kempes and vierra in, just pirlo now and the midfield options have been well covered1

Or it gives him money to buy the wing back he needsSword65pf said:

If he does well doesn’t that just mean a Championship club with a far bigger budget comes in and offers £5-10m and a huge wage?I’m not convinced any options will protect us from that if the player wants the move and the selling club can get a much bigger fee.2

I imagine the loan with the option yo buy has a lot to do with his disciplinary issues...Diebythesword said:Loan with option to buy is actually a great deal. Could be pants, could be amazing. We’re covered either way. Would also (presumably) push back a potential fee to next summer, meaning we’ve still kept our powder dry for another midfielder perhaps?1 -

I see that the keeper Millwall had on loan from Sunderland is going to Wrexham for £8 million. Madness.2

That’s not how it works, if we have an option to buy at a price in the loan deal only we can exercise that option. Effectively we will have the choice to sign him, we can then theoretically immediately sell him at a higher price to another interested party if we wished.Scoham said:If he does well doesn’t that just mean a Championship club with a far bigger budget comes in and offers £5-10m and a huge wage?I’m not convinced any options will protect us from that if the player wants the move and the selling club can get a much bigger fee.10 -

I'm buzzing to have a new midfield pairing. No "dissing" to Cov & Doch, both are triers, but we lacked physicality and quality in the middle last season. With Chalobah and Ouma, we might have added both.2

ITK 1 - WIOTOS 0 - there’s life in the game still - Cawley caught napping as well11

If it's an option to buy at an agreed price, it'll be contractual. Just like Madrid's buyback clause of Nico Paz, they triggered it, bought him from como for 9 million and sold him back to como for 60mil. If he has a stormer, we can effectively trigger the option clause and then sell him straight awayScoham said:If he does well doesn’t that just mean a Championship club with a far bigger budget comes in and offers £5-10m and a huge wage?I’m not convinced any options will protect us from that if the player wants the move and the selling club can get a much bigger fee.3 -

Depends if it's written in a contract. If it is, the price will already have been agreed.Scoham said:If he does well doesn’t that just mean a Championship club with a far bigger budget comes in and offers £5-10m and a huge wage?I’m not convinced any options will protect us from that if the player wants the move and the selling club can get a much bigger fee.1
