    Clarke Carey Coady Docherty Fevrier
    ...................Kelman Dykes

Bench: Mannion Schijene Gillesphey Coventry JRC Knibbs TC Godden Leaburn

I don't think we risk any of the injured players from the start (I don't think we'll see Bell). But I do wonder if Chambers is moved to a LCB birth which allows Fev to come in at LWB where he finished the game on Wednesday. It's just a thought, and it's a tough call given the quick turnaround. That's a strong bench though, so if Jones needs to change it hopefully he'll have a lot of options.

Kelman and Dykes isn't exactly my dream pairing, but again, if Godden and TC are managing pain, I don't think you want to try to get them through even 60 minutes, I think you're better off bringing them on and hoping adrenaline gets them over the line for 30 minutes.

I really don't know anymore. I think we've played better and worse than some of our results recently. Thought we were alright on Wednesday night, just a moment of madness and losing three players to injury during the game undid us. I will be watching from behind my sofa. If you can, please go. And be loud as fuck.

    COME ON YOU REDS!
Chambers is about 4ft nothing and built like a pile of dry leaves. I really don't want to see him in the back three, let alone against McBurnie

Basically impossible to predict the line up without knowing the injuries, but I do think anyone predicting or hoping for Sichenje or Gough at LCB hasn't watched a lot of Nathan Jones. He is not a risk taker, even less so in defence. Ramsay at LWB is about as spicy as he's ever got, and even then only in an utter defensive injury crisis.

Macca has had a howler in him since day one in league one, but he is also capable of a decent game with a strong LWB outside him and I just don't see NJ bending over backwards to drop him for a right footer, no matter how ridiculously awful that pen give away was.

Personally would keep Fevs over Clarke, think the latter has been fairly poor overall and assuming TC is crocked we need one player who can carry and threaten.

In the middle Doc has to stay after a classy performance, I don't have strong feelings between Coady and Cov but I would stick JRC in front of them. Seen a few detractors on here for JRC especially after the last game - I didn't see it that way but interested to know why that was.

Some seem to have taken Jones's comments as Godden is fit and firing - what I heard was he doesn't have a broken ankle and maybe he can move if we jab him with enough painkillers. Would love him for the run in but assuming he's not up to it I'd play Kelman and Dykes, swapping Dykes for Leaburn and some fresh midfield legs after 60.

We are so nearly there, after some sleepless nights following the Ipswich game I'm back to my positive self and I reckon we get it done here.

    1-1 Kelman for us.

                    Kam
    Sichenje - Jones - Macca
    Fevs - Cov - Doc - Chambers
                     JRC
             Kelman - Dykes

Is today a must not lose, or would that be seen as hysteria for the sake of social media?

Just wondering, are there any masochist’s out there who wouldn’t mind us losing and Oxford winning, just to keep up the suspense and make the last game “interesting “…🤦

… not me by the way 🤷‍♂️

We have a decent home record against Hull with us being undefeated in our last 6 games.

Charlton are unbeaten in their last six home league meetings with Hull City (D3 L3) since a 1-2 reverse in November 1985.

I don't get why previous seasons results have any reflection on current teams results .... Doubt any players from either side were present then.  We all read the BBC so just leave it there.

    Will settle for a point.

But then he takes a risk every time playing macca In the championship so I see no difference with putting a faster more mobile player in there.

Disappointing that it has become such a struggle,  but the point we need should be obtained today,  1-1 with the inevitable nervy end.

We need to start at 100mph today and get at them from the off. Actually - we need to be getting at them for 90 minutes.

It’s a one off game - a cup final that could determine our entire season.

If we can’t get ourselves up for this then we will never be able to.

    Let’s see what we’ve got by 2:30pm

No reason we cant win this,Hull looked very open and panicky in the second half against a poor Leicester side, they will be as nervous as us so we need the crowd to give it a good old go.

    100%

How we played at home to Blackburn is what's needed - for me that's our template home performance for this squad. Won't guarantee a result but gives us our very best chance.

Right, this is the one people - yes, we have somehow managed to get 3 of our best players injured and missing for it but this isn't gonna be about the football - this is about the will of the football gods and the atmosphere in the stadium - no ifs, no buts, get there and get behind the team and stay behind the team from the off and we can somehow suck one of them long ball's into the box into the net and then defend for our lives. We can do this today. COYR!!!!!!!!!
  • Will be totally pissed off if we lose today but fully expecting it sadly. Just find us embarrassing to watch at present - zero quality and composure on display.

We don't look like a Championship team at present.

Earlier on in the season I’d have fancied us to get at least a point at home to this Hull side.

I’m hopeful that we can today, but my head is just saying another painful 1-0 loss where we muster a few good chances and take none.

The positive is that I don’t think Oxford will necessarily beat Wednesday. High pressure game for them against a Wednesday side that are playing a lot better recently.

Either way, I hope come 5pm we’re all feeling at ease, if not necessarily elated.

    So nervous -

Jones for the love of God squeeze one last result out of this squad.

Kelman please - touch, turn and finish.

Carey smash one on from distance.

    2-2 and safe

The Defence could help keep a f**king clean sheet as well

We will concede early and end up chasing the game. Sichenje will score the equaliser towards the end and cement his hero status

Don't expect much, probably a fast start but once we concede we wilt.

Can't believe we're getting to the point of looking at results around us when this should be done by now considering the position we were in.
