I think Middlesbrough have only had one full training session since last week, so it's made a mockery of the final with a lack kf fairness on both teams playing.

So they had an advantage over Oxford and Ipswich but no compensation for those teams?

(I know they lost one game which only proves the crime is a difficult one to really say has a material effect).

    Absolute mine field.

Oh my god I can’t believe they’ve shown some backbone.

Well done EFL. Cheating should always be punished.
All eyes now turn to 115 charges sitting with the Premier League ...
And a warrant issued for Pep's arrest, now a fugitive from football justice lol

Was my first thought, haha - hopefully Roy Keane has given him a decent dressing down.

fair play to the EFL, showing some bollocks for once - although I think it should also been a -15 point deduction for the start of next season, make it even harder for them

I hope Hull go up as they deserve it.

However I’d love to see Boro score and pull out the binocular celebration.

How on earth do you sell 40,000 tickets, and arrange travel for many of those people, in 3 days?

It's not fair on the fans who might have sorted out train travel, hotels etc, but I suggest they take it up with the club.

Theres no real way of knowing but I wonder how much of an advantage Southampton gained by spying on 'Boro. Guess every % counts but just seems like such a risk. Especially when they did such a poor job of it

That sound you can hear in the distance is Nathan Jones pissing himself laughing
The almost volcanic rumble you can hear is the sound of the entire global Pompey diaspora pissing themselves laughing

Must be soul crushing for the Southampton fans and players, this would take some getting over.

For the players, a season of graft for nothing, no promotion bonus, no premier league wages coming their way. No doubt players' agents will see that unravel.

If Southampton's appeal is successful, Boro fans and players will go through the agony of disappointment, all be it just for 24 hours of thinking they were in the final.

I am glad it wasn't a direct financial penalty, and think it is right that Boro play the final.
Four points isn't that much, but I suppose it has been a tightrope for the EFL.

Say they were relegated by a point or on GD, the problem is you can't allow them stay up and then relegate someone else/block someone being promoted from L1.

You'd need to relegate Southampton or have a 25 team league

Surely Southampton will now be allowed to appeal though, how does this get resolved before Saturday? - Still doesnt change that Hull are f**ked as they've been training in prep to face the wrong team now... Feel like Hull should have just been given promotion, and the Final cancelled
It's better than a big fine and them being able to play in the final though
