They didn't need to, but I wonder if they spied on how to dismantle Apter and Hernandez playing as wing-backs! Something about those first 25 minutes was just too supremely drilled and executed.
It does arouse suspicion doesnt it. We were shit that day but it seemed they knew exactly how we were going to line up looking back at it. Im sure more will come out.

Hopefully Harwood-Bellis gets a 5 match ban for that celebration & taking the piss out or Aylings stammer.
    Bringing the game into disrepute.

How can they appeal if they've admitted to it?

Appeal the punishment not the verdict I guess.

Should be more point deductions. 2 lots of 4, making 12 in total.

Makes you wonder how they played through our shape so effectively that day they smashed us...

Oh this is glorious. The EFL finally found some balls this season.
  • Saints had better get used to a Chorus of ‘you’re not spying anymore’  everywhere they go !  Not sure if spying on a training session would affect a result on the day but I suppose you could argue anything that could give any sort of advantage should be nipped in the bud. I would be pig sick if I were a Saints fan though.

Spying on Oxford is the bizarre one.

Hope Southampton fans understand who is to blame for this..

Unfortunately that Southampton leadership is appealing it. I don't blame them for appealing but they shouldn't have a leg to stand on. They broke the rules and cheated. Caught red handed. Should be given a bigger points deduction for appealing.

I think Middlesbrough have only had one full training session since last week, so it's made a mockery of the final with a lack kf fairness on both teams playing.
Not a problem. A week of rest (the players would have been told to stay off the booze for a week) would do them good, and they'll be buzzing now. They don't need much time to practice together after a long season, and will know Hull well enough anyway.

Southampton next season with reduced parachute payments, and starting 4 points  behind, so it's not as if they can easily get promotion next season.

Quite refreshing that only 1 newly promoted team will be relegated from the PL this season, and that only 1 parachute payment team will get promoted.

And if they don't it's not far to send an intern with a pair of binoculars.

Hull have come out and said they are unhappy with the punishment as they’d be preparing for Southampton

These are just the ones we know... Have to say maybe you could claim a ban on their senior management

Wowzers. Feels the right punishment and the only kind that would actually act as a deterrent, in the circumstances. However, I did not see the EFL having the balls to do it. Hopefully this isn't just them wanting to appear tough now so they can back down a bit at appeal.

Well at least we won't be bottom after the 1st game. Bit harsh as far as  I am concerned as fans are punished but i guess you break what rules there are you take the punishment.

Be interesting to know how many tickets Southampton have sold and can fans claim refunds for tickets, travel, hotels, etc ?
