Just hope last nights result doesn't have a negative impact on NF....they aren't safe yet.0

As a Londoner, I'd prefer West Ham to stay up, thereby avoiding a rent reduction2

Disgraceful thread. There shouldn't even be a discussion until Palace are mathematically safe.10

Wasn’t there an incident (when people paid actual cash money to get in to the football) where a West Ham official stole all the gate receipts for one of our games and bogged off to Dublin?Starinnaddick said:I think it will be West Ham but although I don't like Sullivan and Co I still remember that we were welcomed by the club after the Palarse fiasco.2 -

I'd like to think Arsenal could come back down with a bump on Sunday and lose, I cannot see that happening. With that, there can be a big swing for the 1961 merchants, West Ham lose and they win that would mean a four point gap with three games to go. That would then be enough to keep them up.0
-
Has to be Tottenham.West Ham and Palace could both feasibly struggle any season.0

Yup, proper basket case of a club, players that don't play for eachother, and half their board are fleeing the shipGarrymanilow said:

West Ham are in real danger of doing a Leicester, a Luton, a Sunderland, a Wolves, a Swindon and suffering double relegation, so long term that would be better, the more they suffer the better.1 -
West Ham for me.0

Prefer it to be Spurs, think it will be West Ham, don’t massively care either way.1

A more interesting question is what result @JohnBoyUK wants out of the Arsenal-West Ham game...0

Either team, would find it interesting to visit one of these new mega stadiums, other than Wembley.0

Feels like choosing which cut you want at your favourite steak restaurant, superb.
Spurs, we all want to go to the new ground and it will be hilarious to see their fans moan, but it seems too good to be true.
West Ham, no one wants to go to the new ground but the saga behind it means relegation would be sweet. Sadly their 'the ground wouldn't work without a football club ripping the arse out of it costing the council millions each year' deal is reduced when relegated. Still would be funny to see them reaching the next level in the championship and we can enjoy a pint in a shopping centre and it's local.

I'd prefer Spurs for the comedy value but realistically i think it'll be West Ham unless they can pull off a shock win v Arsenal.
Interestingly i wonder what kind of away allocation West Ham will offer teams in that stadium next season. Realistically it could be 5-6k as there's no way they'll be filling it.
Apart from when Millwall go there of course. They'll get 1,500 tickets and it'll be 11.30am on a Sunday.0 -

I get most of my information from the family of a West Ham player.
The latest thing I heard was that if they get relegated, next season they will probably have to close the upper tiers of the stadium due to the smaller crowds.6 -
Neither as whoever gets relegated will go straight back up but from a groundhopping point of view both will be new stadiums from watching Charlton at (Unless you were one of the few that watched us in the League Cup at West Ham back in 2020).
Forest and the others have done enough by the look of things now to stay up so it will be one of those 2 clubs, Not fussed who, though the clubs accountant will want one of those as you can be sure it will be a full house at the Valley and another London derby1 -

It's probably going to be West Ham. Shame as I'll always remember the first time Spurs came to the Valley when we were promoted in 98. On the train back up to London their cocky fans were moaning about 'crappy little south London ground' with poor seating and rubbish support. Also we have always contrived to get a result against them either home or away.1

Chelsea are the only team I hate and I was gutted that under Putin's bitch they cheated their way to so many trophies.
Because of the attitude of Aston Villa from Emery to his players against Spurs where it was patently obvious that the 2nd leg against Forest was their priority.
As Villa were well clear and 5th looked good if they can get 1 point from their last 3 games they were pathetic against Spurs who should escape after 2 shocking Premier seasons where they have lost 38 matches !
The sting in the tail is Spurs stay up after the disastrous Tudor period. I said on here De Zerbi was the manager they needed when he became available but yet again a bizarre decision by the Spurs board.
West ham will fight to the end but I think Spurs will beat Leeds and Arsenal will win at the Olympic stadium.

There’s a good example here of why, for the integrity of the league, games should be played at the same time. If West Ham don’t get 3 points on Sunday, then it means Leeds will know that they are safe for their game against Spurs on Monday.
The leagues make a big effort for the last game of the season but sometimes this crucial moment comes weeks earlier.12 -
Not sure any of you have really thought this through and picked up on the most important factor in who we should want to play next season.Has to be Spurs as their white colours will look much better on the other half of the scarf to our Charlton red!! 🤷🏻♂️😉7

Prefer Spurs to go down for the comedy value and fan meltdown but it will be West Ham.2

I thought in this context NF stands for Nottingham Forest, not a frog faced evil racist.9
-
Exactly what my other half said.JohnBoyUK said:Erm, tough choice.
FWIW, I think West Ham will get something out of their game on Sunday. They're unbeaten in 9 at home.
For the record, its the one and only time ever I want them Woolwich pricks to win a game. I'll reluctantly swallow them winning the title to guarantee our safety.
For my sanity, West Ham please.0 -

David Gold always seemed a decent guy to me and an ex boss of mine knew him and his brother as lads playing in the east end bomb craters when they were piss poor.
Never keen on David Sullivan or his muse Brady who he promoted at the age of 23.
Sullivan have already said there will be a fire sale if relegated so let's see how many turn up then to watch the Hammers?

Both London sides struggling even with subsidies from the taxpayer in one case. For that reason I would prefer the Hamsters to go down.0
