(I had to Google what a "Vitality Blast" was. Thought it was a Taco Bell drink)

We’re still playing a 4231 but Bell is staying back and Asiimwe pushing on more with Redmond given a bit more freedom to roam. I guess this is in part to protect Bell’s hamstring but it just led to Asiimwe nearly being in 1 on 1 which was encouraging

Docherty getting lots of practice in on his backward passing.
Apart from Mwamba, to say our midfielders are pedestrian would be an insult to the hiking community.

I know it didn't lead to anything but that pass from Redmond to Godden is just the quality and footballing brain we missed last season

So what do expect from Charlton preseason v Gillingham preseason. Which manager is going to be the happier would you say.
I’m with @TheHerminator in this. It’s a pre season match. A new formation is being tried with youngsters like fullah being given a start. I would hope the manager is as interested in how younger players and newer players are bedding in as well as the score.
Am I missing something? The only thing close to 'bedwetting' on here is people moaning about the stream.

There's about 2 comments on the game and the rest on Kelman getting injured.
Yes you  are. A few people saying it was turgid and dyer

Pre-season or not, this has been dreadful.

Would be nice to at least see some patterns of play emerging.

That's not really bed wetting. Not by this forum's standards anyway

Also lost possession in a dangerous area in our own half don’t think he’s looked any better than Fullah out wide

Only properly tuned in from about 60 mins so can’t comment on Fullah but I think Redmond has done ok with limited movement around him. Whole performance for the last 20 mins has been a bit pedestrian

Love the fact that mwamba first instinct is to look and feel pass forward

Think Mwamba has some off ball learning to do. He goes in 100% all the time which can lead to him being done by a slight change of direction. He’s good on the ball when he has time but I’d like to see him loaned out to L2

Not many bright spots. Mwamba was one. The defence looks sorted and solid, thankfully. But our midfielders are mediocre. So much so that it is hard to judge the strikers as they get little service.
If we do not bring in two decent mids quickly our start to the season will be very poor.
