Koumetio and Mesik look decent enough. Hard to get excited about anything else.

Like Enslin but there’s his big weakness - very left footed. Needed to get a shot, pass or cross away and missed the chance getting on to his right and then back to his left.

Desperately need a couple of CMs. Forgot about Grant so at least he gives us another wide option.

Hope NJ has some good news about the next signing or two, and that we’re moving on from Redmond.

Minutes in the legs, yes. But a humungous lack of quality in that squad.

Browny: "I can't believe Nathan Jones will come off and say we got out of that what we needed!"

    Well no injuries at least
By the sound of it, there would not be any pulled muscles or hamstring problems 😀

All messy after the changes but good to see Godden looking full of running. overall still look four or five players short of a Championship squad.

I think we were worse before the changes .

After that display, I'm tempted to join the bedwetters club. How do I sign up?

LOTS of work to be done and the midfield needs a complete overhaul, which we already knew. Only a pre-season friendly but by the 4th such game, you'd expect to start to see patterns of play emerging and some quality on the ball. We were so negative all game, Campbell apart.

Well, if we learn from that or if the players build their fitness, it might not be a bad thing with retrospect. But as it stands there was absolutely nothing to get excited about and a fair bit to worry about. At least the ticket office staff will be relieved that they won't be overwhelmed with season ticket enquiries on Monday.

We had a few half-decent moves, but not enough and none of them good enough. Even for our best moves I was thinking, 'that might work against Wimbledon, but it's not good enough to work against a Championship side'. As it happens, we didn't actually manage anything that would work against Wimbledon. Ah well, onwards and upwards.

2 years ago almost to the day since we went to Wimbledon and lost 2-0 in an uninspiring performance, that season ended in promotion at Wembley

See you all in the premier league in 2027!
Remind me how we started that season.

We beat Wigan 0-1, Orient 1-0 and Bolton 2-0. Three games played, nine points.

I didn’t think we looked very good , might end up
being a wake up call , we weren’t expecting.

I know it’s supposed to be all about minutes, and fitness, but that was proper Danny Dyer to watch.

PSF are what they are, hence why not a lot will be said in detail about the state of the defending of the goals.

But, thought there would be a little bit more intensity.

That second half was amusing. We must’ve had 80% possession, all of which in our own half, and all of it between our back 4/5.

Hopefully we get some flair, pace and creativity. Really struggle playing through thirds.

Jones has always signed good defenders. Results further up this pitch have been a lot more mixed. That can’t continue if we’re to stay up as the minimum.

I didn't watch today, but by the 4th preseason game you should be over the "all about fitness stage", and at least be showing a bit of football nous. Especially as Wimbledon will be at a similar stage of preseason to us.

I won’t pull the panic cord just yet, still only pre-season etc. But I have some concerns…

I’d like to see some evidence of partnerships / link up play being built. Didn’t see anything like that.
