Ramsay and Bell have been awful.  TC doesn’t even look when he crosses does he? Whizzing a number of crosses in when we weren’t advanced into the box and doesn’t even try to cut inside from the right.    Coventry and Doc don’t work well together.  Too similar.  Too deep leaving space in front of them.  That being said Coventry has been good on the ball.  Knibbs will start in front of Carey this year given this formation.  With Jobes and Koumetio we are going to win a lot of headers this year
Coventry's passing is too slow, and not incisive at all. Reading have shown him how it should be done. He works and has a lot of possession but what can he do with it?
We don't know what his instructions are. He might be being instructed to pass slowly and not incisively.

    (That's a joke).
LOL. If they are his instructions, I'll take it back and say he has met them brilliantly. I can live with one of Doc or Coventry but not both. Unless we are in a backs to the wall game. Mwamba looks better than both to me.

If that really is our first choice 11 God help us. Thankfully it won't be when the two new midfielders come in next week. Also Bell looks past it, Mesic instead
No I don’t think it is mate maybe our first choice up front but no way the midfield or defence
Currently it more or less is?

Mesic starts over bell but apart from that?
I think Collins starts once fit
No chance, he's competing with Jones
RB ? He can play there no problem I think
Never played there in his career, but sure, let's shoehorn in a Kenyan central defender into an unfamiliar position in a league he's played in for all of about 2 games worth of minutes, what could possibly go wrong?!

Still seem to take one to many touches ,instead of releasing the ball earlier

Would be a risk when he hasn't played there before. I know CB's at RB is the trend at the moment but to do it without testing in pre season would be a huge risk

0-1 Wing puts the ball over the wall and in without much reaction from Kaminski
    Rooted to the spot.
You don’t even have to give a name and we’d all know who you are talking about!!😂

Am I the only one who likes Koumetio's shorts? A nice bit of a character and an 80's throwback

I’d have him in midfield over Coventry!

Chalobah and Doc together, let's see if he looks any better with someone different next to him.

(And yes that can apply to both of them but I'm actually referring to Doc in this instance)

Leaburn for Godden not an improvement, no idea about Alli, hope the trialist for Coventry is an improvement.

Poor first half. What really stands out to me is that we’re unable to press with Coventry. It has been like that last season as well. We’re constantly caught in no-man's-land always behind the opponent rather than stepping in fron and we’re simply falling short because of it. Jones and Koumetio could be stepping up to close down as well, but I expect a defensive midfielder to read that situation himself. He also always seems to wait until after he’s received the ball before looking for where to play it.

Bell has been poor on the left. I count three or four crosses coming from that side, and he’s been sloppy in possession. That’s not like him. I think Mesik will end up taking that spot.

Hardly anyone is doing themselves any favors today. I don't even think Lloyd Jones looks sharp. Ramsay has been poor both defensively and going forward. The only exception is Karlan Grant.

Bell, Cov, Doc & Ramsay looking very poor.
Thought it last year Bell is a worse option than Macca. Can't pass (very poor), can't stay with his man, no goal threat (ever) and only looks comfortable on the ball.
Are you sure you're not mixing Bell up with some other player or two? Ok today not so hot, but your opinion seems harsh, and maybe mistaken?

Ramsay is having a shocker,  if his agent is hoping for bids for his player.

Ramsay looks like he wants to be anywhere but here, looks far too slack and disinterested

We really struggle to relieve pressure when defending corners. I'm sure there's logic and stats behind it but not keeping someone up the pitch makes it so hard

Leaburn can't pass it 5 yards FFS.

If he's going to turn into a target man, that kind of link up play needs to be his bread and butter
