Thought Grant looked quality though, need more from the midfield (as we know)

Kaminski static at the free kick.
Please say this isn't a criticism. Two keepers in net couldn't have saved that lol

3 minutes ‘hydration break’. 25 seconds added time.

    I know it’s a friendly, but I feel a bit cheated.

Movement has been class just don't really look like creating clear cut opportunities too much here
TC created at least one but no one gambled on the cross, should be easily fixable

    Booooooooooooooo
  • Fairly uninspiring, Grant has some quality we just need that finished chance.

I don’t know if it’s because we expect it to change but Jesus we need to get a new midfield in

No way we can play this formation with that centre mid pairing. Docs second touch is a tackle and Coventry cant play a pass forwards. If no serious upgrades come in then we will be back to back 5 very soon.

If that really is our first choice 11 God help us. Thankfully it won't be when the two new midfielders come in next week. Also Bell looks past it, Mesic instead

Been saying for a few years now that Wing is playing below his standard. Definitely championship standard. Bizarre, no one has picked him up, especially when they were in dire financial straits.

    My first PSF.

Can't say I've seen any difference from last season.

    Positives - Grant & Knibbs.

Everything else is very same old same old. TC on the right means he doesn't cut in so is even less effective. His crossing is ok but still not good enough.

Hopefully 2nd half we'll bring on the new players otherwise I cant see anything but a long season of struggle.

A lot of the balls we play need to be 10% bettter. Looks to me there is an abiity cliff in key positions. Mostly midfield. Grant doing well.

There are moments where we get into the right places but either the wrong cross/pass/shot is picked or not enough men in the box, very fixable but has got me thinking about that striker position a bit

Chalobah's half on Tuesday was a reminder of what we're lacking in midfield.

Ramsay's passing back to Kaminski have been weirdly inaccurate today.

Thought you didn’t like wingers who did that?

Grant head and shoulders our best on show. Just not giving enough in midfield.

Great free kick but it came from our keeper not claiming the ball leading to Knibbs making the foul.

No I don’t think it is mate maybe our first choice up front but no way the midfield or defence

Coventry is so, so poor. Really don't want to see him starting games this season. Doesn't have the quality to pick a forward pass, so only plays backwards. He's an absolute dream to press as the opposition team.

How the hell am I still seeing Doc & Cov together. Wimbledon 2.0 again. The difference swapping them 2 out on Tuesday to now is crazy. I’m gonna take is as a positive that Jones will see 100% they are both dog together. Upgrade on the way don’t worry 👀👌🏻🏥🩺 done

I'm really hoping he's getting his casualness out the system before the season starts
  • We can’t even go to the five at the back really on account of not having recruited wingbacks.

We desperately need that Karlan-level upgrade in midfield. I can't watch much more of these two.

Ramsay and Bell have been awful.  TC doesn’t even look when he crosses does he? Whizzing a number of crosses in when we weren’t advanced into the box and doesn’t even try to cut inside from the right.    Coventry and Doc don’t work well together.  Too similar.  Too deep leaving space in front of them.  That being said Coventry has been good on the ball.  Knibbs will start in front of Carey this year given this formation.  With Jobes and Koumetio we are going to win a lot of headers this year

If we do get two new midfielders next week which I doubt, they will be 4 to 8 weeks away from being match fit.

I thought it felt like a lot of our games last year.

The opposition looked the better team, but we got ourselves in the better positions, but lacked the quality to make the best of those positions.
