All my wife’s family are Millwall supporters. Most of them attend games. On McNamara. (paraphrasing) Rock solid full back who doesn’t shirk and doesn’t make too many mistakes. Don’t expect a lot going forward but does look after his area of the pitch. Unspectacular but reliable.

im quite encouraged by that as a backup to Ramsay.

My mate who is a Millwall season ticket holder thinks that he will be a solid signing for us
My mate who is a Millwall season ticket holder said Miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

Because he’s incapable of using more than one syllable.

with his age, no of championship appearances etc - he's a very solid option at RB

had he signed from literally any of the other top 10 championship clubs apart from Millwall then pretty much everyone else would agree

I think it’s much more his injury record .  Don’t really feel that anyone is seriously bothered by the Millwall connection .

  • He seems popular at Millwall for being a Millwall fan more than his playing ability.  If we're to step up we need better than Millwall players who are not good enough for Millwall - as per this gentleman's views (7 minutes in).

Erm, the Millwall that have spent the last 10 years competing for the play-offs most seasons in the Championship? And who finished 3rd by a point last season? And who've not sold any one yet and have brought in 5 new players?

Thanks to an assortment of chancers and conmen, Charlton have spent 11 of the last 17 seasons in League One, to give some perspective on your view here.

How comes people don't call you an idiot? Clicky init.

    True.

I've never worked in an office, but I reckon Charlton life is a good substitute for the kind of male bitchiness and peacocking you get in those.
That’s a job I’d quit on the spot

Nice to add a bit of Irish flavour to the squad. I fully expect us to add Paddy Mcginty to the players roster next.
I’ll go and get my goat…..

If by saying that it was a weak comment to say that banner was 'stupid', yes. I did 'have a go' at that comment.

That's not bitchiness. It's expressing an opinion about a distasteful banner, held up by professional footballers on the world's biggest stage and a rather weak comment about it from an Argentinian national.

As said, people on here would be losing their minds if Millwall players did something similar at The Valley and Millwall fan said it was 'a bit stupid'.
    AI response. Lovely.

Wow. Millwall to the core. Strange one
So was Harry Cripps……but he did well for us and we were happy to see him in an Addicks shirt.
    Welcome Danny.
Harry Cripps was a west ham fan before joining Millwall. Danny Macnamara was born in to a Millwall family and was a season ticket holder before he signed for us as a youngster.
Dave Martin is a Charlton fan, as is all his family, didn't stop him scoring in the 4-4 game against us at The Valley, hopefully Danny can return the favour.

Let's hope he does not score an OG, this place would explode.

True but it’s pretty much the general consensus amongst our support that he’s a defensive player with very little attacking flair or creativity. That’s standard knowledge. How good he is, how injury prone he is, how committed he will be etc are all up for debate. Not his style of play though. Which is the only thing I’ve really chipped in with.
