That touch before beating his man is obscene, he's not even looking.
Didn't think much of it on first viewing but that was a class assist.2 -
To be fair, was my Pompey mates almost exact words when describing him to me.thenewbie said:
I have a feeling he's going to be one of those wingers who once every ten games does something truly brilliant or scores a stunning goal and in the other 9 you have to remind yourself hes even on the pitch.VanbrughHill said:Bit early to say yet and he’s been reduced to substitute appearances and a cup game - but can’t say I’ve been overly impressed. Some Pompey fans claimed he wasn’t up to Championship standard and I can so far see why. Fingers crossed with a few more games he can turn it around.0 -
Not sure why the negativity. He tore us a new one for Pompey last year2
-
Thought he was immense today & far more influential than Carey who isn't making the most of his opportunities thus far this season IMO.1

Is his middle name 'Van'Weegie Addick said:Really liked the look of Milli Alli today.4 -
One sunny day doesn’t make a summer and he was up against Vukcevic - but of course I’ll be pleased if he puts in performances like that regularly.fenaddick said:
As said, judged too quickly. Was great today. Doesn't mean he'll be great always but there is definitely quality in therefenaddick said:Don’t think there’s enough of a body of work to judge him on really. Yesterday was the most minutes he’d played for us and he didn’t exactly have a chance to show what he’s about0 -
Hated this as a signing but if he can maintain that level of performance more that happy to eat my words0
-
Alli could be the biggest beneficiary of the opposition focusing on TC, Grant and our transformed battering ram of a striker. Judging on yesterday's performance he could do some serious damage if he's left lightly marked.1
-
Pleased for him, he was being tarred with the Charlie Kirk brush after spurs, our fans are so kneejerk sometimes.1
-
The touch to bring the ball down before the cross for the goal was lovely.4

Budget signing and plays like it.0

4-years!!!!!!
Jesus Christ3 -
Cost us points against Portsmouth and now looks shot of confidence. Awful half.0

Give Nkeng a go1

Its as Pompey fans said...He'll either play really well (which we've seen glimpses of) or he'll be invisible in games (what we're seeing today)3

Almost wish he had been invisible so far!ForeverAddickted said:Its as Pompey fans said...He'll either play really well (which we've seen glimpses of) or he'll be invisible in games (what we're seeing today)Whenever he’s had the ball, he’s lost it… poses bugger all attacking threat, piss poor defending and just all round a bit crap3 -

From what I understand there is every chance we will go back for JRS in the summer or Jan if his agent issue is sorted.
Think the medical was just one risk too far …. Agent sorted (ie old one fucked off) and Alli becomes cover for the TC.
We only signed him cos we thought TC was going anyway4 -
This is exactly what we've had with him. Either looks really bright and lively or might as well not be on the pitch. Pretty much your typical lower end Champ / top of L1 wide player.ForeverAddickted said:Its as Pompey fans said...He'll either play really well (which we've seen glimpses of) or he'll be invisible in games (what we're seeing today)1 -
Heard it 900 times haven't we?DamoNorthStand said:From what I understand there is every chance we will go back for JRS in the summer or Jan if his agent issue is sorted.

Good as a substitute/change option, but very inconsistent when he starts.1
-
Alli, Apter, and Nkeng are our right-forward options; that is about £4–5m in potential fees, so we are not being unrealistic to have expected better.0
-
Thing is that won’t get you what we need.mendonca said:Alli, Apter, and Nkeng are our right-forward options; that is about £4–5m in potential fees, so we are not being unrealistic to have expected better. It’s frustrating but not Alli’s fault he’s not good enough.Poor/lazy scouting take your pick0 -
The main point being we totally cocked up deployment of what little budget we had….. bringing a player in who was supposed to replace someone who then never left and then failing to bring in someone on the side we did need to - RW.DamoNorthStand said:From what I understand there is every chance we will go back for JRS in the summer or Jan if his agent issue is sorted.

Total shitshow.2 -
I don’t believe we ever thought TC was going, especially not to Preston.0

Find someone to take him on loan in January now.
A dud of the highest quality.
Whoever decided to pay a million for him should be sacked.1 -
