If I'm taking a penalty and I see him standing there, I'm going to cry and then miss. Yeah, I'm not very good at football, but he is a presence and a half

People blaming him for the goal…..he shouldn’t got to the first shot as their player already on the left side had 90% of the goal to score and he made a reaction save. Any of our most recent keepers we lose that.

    Scorer was offside.

100% not at fault for the goal. Competent and confident throughout. Best I’ve felt about a Charlton goalkeeper for a long time. Flappy my arse.

Could have done better with the goal....? And done what, exactly? The guy was a couple of yards out and smashed the ball towards the top of the goal. Arthur, who has amazing reflexes, got his arms up in a fraction of a second and parried the ball out. Unfortunately one of there's and not ours got to it first.

Could have done better for the goal but at the same time wasn’t a horrendous error and made 8 saves during the game which I think more than likely makes up for it

I thought Billy could have reacted better to the parried ball.

Just onside, but who cares, played 2 got 12% of the points needed for “safety”

Thought he did great especially considering he’s only just joined. His whole demeanour seems a superb ‘fit’ for us as well. Great signing.

Has to be said he looks to be fitting in very well, he's not actually had an awful lot to do but made some great saves and looks to fit in with the defence already.

We just have to appreciate our proactive and swift approach to resolving the Kaminski situation.

The pretty swift conclusion of the deal suggests Arthur was keen to come here. And I know that’s true from some insider (non-Charlton) info. So I’m less worried it’s a loan - if he settles and enjoys it as we all hope then I’d be fairly confident we can get him signed up, like we have recently done with the LJ, TC, KR renewals.

Finally we are now a club that plans ahead properly and where there is a strong squad spirit. That makes a huge difference in these situations. Ultimately it’s Wrexham who lose out on a fee.

Its more the fact that Wrexham can recall him in January (Be crazy if thats not an option) and sell him to someone for more that worries me, the feelings and wishes of the player come into it a lot less - Hopefully there are terms to the deal that give us the first option to buy in January and for a set amount of money though, so Wrexham can't just recall him and go... "You know what... that £1m deal we'd agreed... We now want £2m"
  • Nice to have a keeper with a bit of presence - Kaminski didn't inspire confidence.

Probably on big wages and wanted to weigh up his move next summer. If anything we’re lucky to have him even on loan because between Wrexham wasting 8M on a keeper and Kaminski throwing his toys out the pram it was a move that never looked realistic 2 months ago

If they recalled him and he is really enjoying his time with us, how motivated would he be to go back after being bombed out, I think either way Wrexham have fucked themselves over with this one. Especially as we will be flying at the top for us, can he be recalled anyway?, would that be a loan clause?

Think a recall clause would need to be written in the agreement, which it probably is as I can't see why Wrexham wouldn't want the option.

I think a keeper can be recalled at any time, not just in a window. I would have thought for that reason we may have tried to resist a recall clause. We did hold some cards. It would have cost Wrexham a lot of money to keep him. Anyway without seeing the contract, none of us knows.

Not 100% certain but I don't think you can recall a player in any position until the next transfer window opens.

There’s absolutely no way Wrexham recall him (unless serious injury) they’re not going to drop an 8M goalkeeper after 6 months especially dropping him to 3rd choice immediately.

Yes, it would have to be an emergency situation.
