If that’s the case why play the game in your opinion?se9addick said:
and if you are going to the game, I don’t see the point and I’ll have your ticket off you if that’s ok😜3 -
They clearly have better individuals that us, some real quality. Whether they are a better team than us at the moment is more debatable. They are in the middle of a major rebuild, and it will take time for them to be at their best.se9addick said:
Them being a lot better than us.Sword65pf said:What are people basing the idea that we will get smashed on?
And of the 3 relegated from the PL sides last season, we drew at Soton and won at Ipswich and Leicester.6 -
We play lots of games against teams better than us, we’ll probably play about 30 out of 46 matches against better sides this season.Sword65pf said:

Please do not do this..I ll be in Prague next week so save some for me 😁PragueAddick said:
If we get that result I swear I will go out and drink Prague dry!stoneroses19 said:West Ham looked very shaky at the back against Burnley and thought they looked vulnerable on multiple occasions, even giving away a stupid penalty as player panicked. If we can attack them with pace and on the run, I think we will have some decent opportunities. However, there forwards are too good for this league, so can see 2-2 today.1 -
Whatever happens we will acquit ourselves well. A decent performance will bode well for the season ahead .A surprise result possible0

This one has got the vibes of Leicester away where the expectations from everywhere were that we were going to get turned over but that didn’t take into account the Charlton fans who all turned up with the clear intention of having a party, started it before the game kicked off and put a dampener on the home team and their fans from the start.1

I hope every Addick there has a brilliant day!
Great stadium but a shit football stadium sadly.
COYA!6 -
Just hope we don’t capitulate in the same way as we did against Millwall last season. Win, lose or draw .. Just give a good account of yourselves Charlton.5

Had my cousin,a hammers fan messaging me this morning, shes nervous about the game, said that hammers fans are collectively, over confindent about this game. I said im glad we 're playing them now before they hit their stride and that they should be ashamed if their new £22m midfielder doesnt dictate the game against 'little old Charlton'. Fancy us for a point. COYFR2

There is no such thing as a 'free hit' we need to go there and ruffle their feathers and see what we can come away with. We are getting a reputation as a tough team to beat and if West Ham get anything from us they need to have worked bloody hard for it.
COYA.7 -
I hope our now rather robust defence kicks a few players up into the air, borderline legally of course2
-
Hull couldnt beat us, beating united 2-0 =west ham 0-1 cafc. Easy football maths.

Few Charlton in Golden Grove0

Erm - they are both massive changes in speed.wolfgang said:
Weird comment. Your only changes are Godden for Sichenje and Mesik for Bell. Hardly an increase in speed.sam3110 said:
Would be insane to play such an unbalanced, slow first XIwmcf123 said:Okonkwu

To the posters who thinks we have too many strikers and wide forwards even without the possible JRS deal.
Kelman and Godden injured and Leaburn never gets through a season without an injury over the last 4 seasons.
The years are catching up with Matty G and we can't be confident he will be available for the majority of matches.
I look forward to joining in with the praise for young Mbick as I'm still to really see it other than in League 2 with Colchester.
So pleased Mbick is available as it's his chance to step up to show what Brighton, Cowley and NJ have seen.
