Blimey gone back to our old ways ,we was poor no two ways about it7

1 point more than I expected.
Expected a follow up kick in the nuts a la true Charlton stylee.
Skipped through the match thread and I trust you lot, when you say... "Bollocks!"

I guess we deserved a point based upon our defensive play but boy that was a hard watch…we were second to every ball and QPR were killing us with their passing into the channels and always seemed to have a free man…they seemed much fitter and sharper than us…shout out to Arthur for a great save with his legs from Smyth to keep us in it….8

Yeah lets not start a trend of trying to stay up first and foremost given we're favourites for going downSELR_addicks said:I mean we've played this record before last season probably 15 times.Played poorly, get one or two chances and don't concede.Hoped this season would be better, let's not start this trend again Jones.12 -
This is a great point. We just went from losing 4-0 to barely giving up a chance and keeping a clean sheet. I'd say that's a pretty good reactionTalal said:Defended well and limited them to one proper chance. Perhaps should've been given a goal. Frustrating we couldn't take the game to them but a solid point after a drubbing.25 -
Relieved to get a point. QPR spent much of that game running rings around us. We couldn't get near them. And I don't think they're as good as we made them look tonight.
Apart from TC I don't think anyone played well. Bindon, Carey and Bell were awful. The latter two gave the ball away time and time again.
As a partnership, Skipp & Cov look eerily similar to Doch & Cov. We had no presence down the middle in possession.
Much is being made about Millwall's injury crisis because they've got ten players out... We've got nine players out. We're not at full strength and I'm hopeful that we'll look better when we get some players back.
As I say, relieved to get a point. That was not an enjoyable watch.12 -
Genuinely what did you expect him to do? Take the game to in form QPR with literally half our squad out injured.IR94 said:jones was completely outclassed tatically, just lucky qpr were toothless in front of goal

We were lucky QPR didn’t have any real goal threat.
Can’t carry on playing like that, especially at home.
How the ref didn’t see the shirt pull on Grant is beyond me.8 -
Don't care what anyone says, that was crap.
Couldn't tackle, couldn't hold the ball and constantly chasing qpr players.
Credit to the defence for some stout defending although Bindon looks shaky to put it mildly.
Its going to be a long winter.11 -
I'm sure Jones will focus on the disallowed goal, but that was a turgid home performance. I understand that kind of performance away from home, but expect more intent at home.
Not pretty & not nice to watch8 -

If QPR had Campbell instead of Paul Smyth they'd have won three nil6

At least Danny Mac will be back for Saturday, unless he's picked up a sore wrist from his card waving hand and won't be back until the new year because we can't seem to risk anyone these days8
-
Good god we have some miserable fucking fans.62

I'd like to say, that wasn't pretty to watch, but a point is ok, on to Saturday and Portsmouth, where I feel we should get a bit more freedom and the win to cap off 4 points from the two home matches...8

We didn't play this poorly/negatively against West Ham, Derby and Preston. We are capable of winning games without this Jones-ball style of play. Just need some confidence in our own ability.1 -

Also, a fifth of the way to safety after 6 games..thats got to be good!15

Made QPR look like prime Barcelona but thankfully with F all end product. A very painful watch. TC our only outlet and a midfield terrified of playing it forward. We already need that international break quite badly.3
-
I’m just wondering and it might just be me but if we really really tried, I wonder if we could maybe pass backwards more often?10

Not pretty but given the injuries a clean sheet and a point in this league is always acceptable. Let’s not forget last season when we had this many injuries we were losing most games. Squad is deeper and better. International break cannot come soon enough25

Next two games are the important ones in our recent run, as they're going to be the games that we'll ideally need to look back on at relief at having won come the end of the season (Although not vital seeing that Pompey did the double over us last season)eastterrace6168 said:I'd like to say, that wasn't pretty to watch, but a point is ok, on to Saturday and Portsmouth, where I feel we should get a bit more freedom and the win to cap of 4 points from the two home matches...1 -
We were lucky tonight. QPR player some good, flowing football - let down by any box players for their multiple crosses. Surrendering 70%+ possession to the opposition, bypassing the midfield, passing back & hoofing it up front only for the opposition to reset and come back must be exhausting for our players. It sure is to watch. Plan B?

Boring sideways, backwards football. Another awful set of officials.
That will get the crowds flooding back!3 -
A solid point. We wobbled a bit in moments but then settled again. Thats better than last year.5
-
Agreed, why don't they just go and support ArsenalPelling1993 said:Good god we have some miserable fucking fans.8 -
Getting worried about that No10 role. Carey looks like he doesn't fit the formation at all and Jones clearly doesn't trust Knibbs for whatever reason, JRC is a square peg in a round hole there.
Not really sure what else we can try there unless you play a flat 3 in midfield and bring in Mwambas energy.6 -
I'd take a draw given how we played but feel a bit hard done by with some odd officiating7

Okonkwo is a definite upgrade on Kaminski.
Save hands.25
