Happy with a point, but it was a tough watch. Bindon looks dodgy.
    Agreed on Bindon!
Yet to see this defensive powerhouse we were promised

Leave off him, will yer? He’s younger than both TC and Miles, didnt have a proper pre-season after being involved in the World Cup, and that was his 3rd game in 7 days.

Good god we have some miserable fucking fans.
Did you not watch that game for 90 mins?

I've got a colonoscopy next week - it's gonna be more enjoyable looking at the inside of my arse on a TV screen than what we watched then.
I watched a patched together team get a poing with 9 first team players out through injury.

It was not pretty but I’m not going to chuck myself off a bridge having got 11 points already this year.
Who’s the 9 players who come back into that first team?
    Into the squad?

    Billy
    kellman
    Godden
    chalobah
    danny
    bfk
    mannion
    edwards

All get back in the first team match day squad

    I’m struggling for the 9th
So we weren’t missing 9 first team players then.
    Eh?
Basically from your list we're missing: Ramsay or McNamara, Chalobah, Koumetio as First Team Players
As all of those nine (Mannion etc.) likely / possibly wouldn't necessarily have started tonight given the options that did start
All 9 make the first team match day squad no?
My guy - it’s all there in writing. You said we were missing 9 first team players.

Who are the 9 that go into our first team.

Our first team is the starting 11 players.
We’ll have to agree to disagree then.

First team for me means the first team squad. Match day selections.

    Your first 11 changes regularly.

I'll be the first to congratulate Josh Laqeretabua on his first first-team appearance today.
What would you say he was today then? Reserves?

Getting worried about that No10 role. Carey looks like he doesn't fit the formation at all and Jones clearly doesn't trust Knibbs for whatever reason, JRC is a square peg in a round hole there.

Not really sure what else we can try there unless you play a flat 3 in midfield and bring in Mwambas energy.
Grant as the 10, and either Apter, Alli or Nkeng on the right.

    Definitely a parody

Agreed, why don't they just go and support Arsenal
My son just said this to me when he called me coming back from the game and I was ranting.

No one, not even my son, tells me who I can or can't support.

I was quite happy singing along to music in my kitchen BEFORE the match.
It seems that many of our fans nowadays are willing to put up with anything as long as we get a point. Gradually, without them noticing, other fans aren't going.
Who or what is miserable, the fans tired of this awful spectacle, or the spectacle itself?

No I just think it's a bit silly to class the whole 18 as the first-team when he clearly meant the first 11 and backtracked.

Don't know what Harvey Knibbs has to do to start or get an appearance.

The way he warms up, his professionalism. Give him a chance

Carey is so off the boil and has been sussed out.

Yes the ref was awful, but we really miss that link between the striker and the wingers.

Yet we are sitting 5th on 11 points after 6 games which is an incredible return at this stage.

We look hard to beat and will be a pain the arse for any team.

Its not pretty but its somewhat effective.

Its going to be an interesting season

We could finish anywhere,  but I think we have enough resilience to stay up.

15th-12th for me will be an improvement on last season. Ill take it.

But January/Next summer the focus has to be a creative midfielder

And of course with injuries etc we know how quickly our form could turn.

They were a very neat and tidy side but didn’t really create too much, played some lovely stuff though

a decent point given our injury problems.

    TC’s goal was onside

gutted for Leaburn, hopefully just a precaution

bindon and skipp - not sold on either…hurry back Billy and I don’t think the latter was any better than Doc

JRC - another who the game just seems to pass by

win on Saturday and it’ll have been a very good week

Boring sideways, backwards football. Another awful set of officials.

That will get the crowds flooding back!
Yea we should’ve gone for it and lost 0-3
    But that's football.

The whole point of football is that try to score a goal. If the other team is better than you, then so be it.

But QPR weren't better than us. They had players out injured & were there to be beaten. Sadly we didn't even try.

No it isn't. The point of football is to try to finish as high up the table as possible over the season. How you do that is up to the team and that's what makes it so interesting

Not entirely sure Binden is an upgrade on gillesphey. Some calamitous mistakes and never looks like he’s going to win his battles. Desperately need big billy back.

Skipp showed some real class at times, that touch and ball to TC was sublime.

Definitely take the point against a team that were better than us.

I’m usually an optimistic fan but you have to say it how it is that was painful, you least expect as the home team to have a 10 20 minute spell of something, was nothing for 90 min. We just looked from minute one to take a point sit deep and soak up the pressure. Positives we were outclassed by West Brom and now QPR but have taken two points. We move on to Portsmouth

Not at the game, watched on the stream.

I thought we were poor to be honest and the gulf between the teams was clear to see.

Thought we were better matched last season, we’ve either gotten worse or the gulf has got a lot bigger.

    Tough, tough watch.

Once again we are talking about a horrendous ref mistake that has cost us two point … deserved point, Skipp and Coventry were excellent and the pass to Campbell for the goal you won’t see a better one all season .. …. defensively we were excellent in our low press and QPR system gave them extra men in wide trying to force as wide … it was real tactical battle …… think Knibbs should have replaced Leaburn for height … but an excellent point

Poor performance.  Great backs to the wall defending, but all it did was give the ball back to them. Our players were chasing shadows all evening,  which is really tiring,  and will affect us on Saturday.

I wonder about the tactics,  as so often the 4 attacking players were all together. far up the pitch so the defence and midfield had nobody to pass to. We really needed the 10 to link play, rather than just be a 4th attacker.

The TC offside may have been incorrect,  but it was hardly a howler by the officials, as it was really tight. Similarly the pull back on Karlan was a foul,  but not a red card offence.

That's not true. We started and ended the first half really well. We put some pressure on 2nd half where we could have nicked a goal on another day.

We also had a goal disallowed that shouldn't have been.

Whose the 9 players who come back into that first team?
And we started the game we our favoured front 3 (4 if you count Carey). No injury crisis there (well, not from the start).

We'll get all the injured players back and still be shite going forwards.  Only player we are missing from the midfield is Chalobah. Most of the players missing tonight were defenders.
