Agreed on Bindon!charlton_hero said:Happy with a point, but it was a tough watch. Bindon looks dodgy.Yet to see this defensive powerhouse we were promisedLeave off him, will yer? He’s younger than both TC and Miles, didnt have a proper pre-season after being involved in the World Cup, and that was his 3rd game in 7 days.15 -
There wasn't going to be a better time to play them with the injuries they have too.1

I’m struggling for the 9thBasically from your list we're missing: Ramsay or McNamara, Chalobah, Koumetio as First Team PlayersAs all of those nine (Mannion etc.) likely / possibly wouldn't necessarily have started tonight given the options that did start
Who are the 9 that go into our first team.
Our first team is the starting 11 players.First team for me means the first team squad. Match day selections.Your first 11 changes regularly.

Not really sure what else we can try there unless you play a flat 3 in midfield and bring in Mwambas energy.2 -

It seems that many of our fans nowadays are willing to put up with anything as long as we get a point. Gradually, without them noticing, other fans aren't going.
Who or what is miserable, the fans tired of this awful spectacle, or the spectacle itself?9 -

Don't know what Harvey Knibbs has to do to start or get an appearance.
The way he warms up, his professionalism. Give him a chance
Carey is so off the boil and has been sussed out.
Yes the ref was awful, but we really miss that link between the striker and the wingers.
Yet we are sitting 5th on 11 points after 6 games which is an incredible return at this stage.
We look hard to beat and will be a pain the arse for any team.
Its not pretty but its somewhat effective.
Its going to be an interesting season
We could finish anywhere, but I think we have enough resilience to stay up.
15th-12th for me will be an improvement on last season. Ill take it.
But January/Next summer the focus has to be a creative midfielder
And of course with injuries etc we know how quickly our form could turn.4 -

They were a very neat and tidy side but didn’t really create too much, played some lovely stuff though
a decent point given our injury problems.
TC’s goal was onside
gutted for Leaburn, hopefully just a precaution
bindon and skipp - not sold on either…hurry back Billy and I don’t think the latter was any better than Doc
JRC - another who the game just seems to pass by
win on Saturday and it’ll have been a very good week4 -

No it isn't. The point of football is to try to finish as high up the table as possible over the season. How you do that is up to the team and that's what makes it so interestinggolfaddick said:

Not entirely sure Binden is an upgrade on gillesphey. Some calamitous mistakes and never looks like he’s going to win his battles. Desperately need big billy back.Skipp showed some real class at times, that touch and ball to TC was sublime.Definitely take the point against a team that were better than us.2
-
Watch something else then. We played like a team with a left back at right back, a defender we had to source last minute and throw straight in, a midfielder we just picked up the other day, a left winger at right wing and then our third striker injury of the season which meant we had to swap him for a right wing back and then a teenager. Despite that we kept a good footballing side at arm’s length and as far as I can see it scored the counter punch goal we wanted but were denied it by an over-eager linesman. If you’re too bored to enjoy getting a good point against a decent side then I think maybe the EFL isn’t for youZulu said:
Were you watching a different game?Garrymanilow said:I'm sort of surprised by all the negativity. It wasn't a particularly fascinating watch but then it's not meant to be. We set up to defend well against a possession team who have started the season superbly and then catch them on the break with a sucker punch. Which we did, but it was disallowed. We also had a lot going for us when Leaburn had their defenders completely in his control but he had to go off injured. We then created another chance in behind but Grant was fouled with nothing given from the terrible ref. The reality is for all their possession QPR had one really good chance and that was created for them by Tyler Bindon. Okonkwo had nothing to do other than that and we mostly watched the ball sail harmlessly out of play. It doesn't really feel like last season where we were hanging on at times and desperately waiting for the whistle despite having about 50 defenders on the pitch, we feel much more controlled in our defending. The real frustration is that we set up with two central midfielders who can pick a pass and mostly missed them out to send it long, even when Leaburn was off. The few times we let our midfielders get a foot on the ball we created our best chances through the middle and best used the pace in behind. I really hope we can figure out a way to start involving Skipp and Coventry more in games because it will make such a big difference.Regardless though we're 5th after 6 games, 2 points off the top and if you take away the Stoke aberration we've got 5 points off the teams currently in 1st, 2nd and 4th. That's a pretty good start.
We were shit - zero positives from it other than 1 point.
To watch it was like watching a horror movie written by a comedian. It was appallingly bad.
We are going to struggle to keep our crowds above 15k watching that shit every game.22 -
I’m usually an optimistic fan but you have to say it how it is that was painful, you least expect as the home team to have a 10 20 minute spell of something, was nothing for 90 min. We just looked from minute one to take a point sit deep and soak up the pressure. Positives we were outclassed by West Brom and now QPR but have taken two points. We move on to Portsmouth1

That wasn't the point though. He said no other forward.0 -
Not at the game, watched on the stream.I thought we were poor to be honest and the gulf between the teams was clear to see.Thought we were better matched last season, we’ve either gotten worse or the gulf has got a lot bigger.Tough, tough watch.2
-
Once again we are talking about a horrendous ref mistake that has cost us two point … deserved point, Skipp and Coventry were excellent and the pass to Campbell for the goal you won’t see a better one all season .. …. defensively we were excellent in our low press and QPR system gave them extra men in wide trying to force as wide … it was real tactical battle …… think Knibbs should have replaced Leaburn for height … but an excellent point
.6 -
Poor performance. Great backs to the wall defending, but all it did was give the ball back to them. Our players were chasing shadows all evening, which is really tiring, and will affect us on Saturday.
I wonder about the tactics, as so often the 4 attacking players were all together. far up the pitch so the defence and midfield had nobody to pass to. We really needed the 10 to link play, rather than just be a 4th attacker.
The TC offside may have been incorrect, but it was hardly a howler by the officials, as it was really tight. Similarly the pull back on Karlan was a foul, but not a red card offence.
2 -
That's not true. We started and ended the first half really well. We put some pressure on 2nd half where we could have nicked a goal on another day.TD_Addick said:I’m usually an optimistic fan but you have to say it how it is that was painful, you least expect as the home team to have a 10 20 minute spell of something, was nothing for 90 min. We'll get all the injured players back and still be shite going forwards. Only player we are missing from the midfield is Chalobah. Most of the players missing tonight were defenders.1
