I’ve been more positive than most but that one has pissed me off more than any other game this season. Inexcusable after the start we had against a team on such a bad run of form. There is no good argument for choosing to sit back and let them get comfortable when we had them on the ropes, and these tactics are going to continue costing us points. The terrible recruitment has once again put us in a position where we’re clinging on for January. If we don’t spend on a very good midfielder and right winger we are only headed one way.7

Pretty abysmal performance summed up by keeping Edwards on when everyone could see he was knackered, Boro exploited it and I genuinely felt bad for him by the time he went off.
Our squad just looks so shit, especially in midfield. We had glaring weaknesses last season and failed to address them.
That's on the board for me. Shite.6 -
Took the precaution of not watching the second half. Commiserations to those that were at the game. How do we get out of this mess? Bleak times.2
-
I think Jones has lost the dressing room . That can be the only explanation for that performance.9

Free hit for a new manager coming up1

Absolutely disgusting. Shit tactics, shit manager and shit recruitment in summer.
This is a huge crisis. Its just all a little obvious and boring tbh.11 -
Jones will not be able to turn this around. Not because he doesn’t have the skill set, but because we simply have a completely under equipped squad of players for this level ☹️……… and apart from the outlier at West Ham, we haven’t even played the really good teams yet.20

The only positive from today is that somehow we are still 6 points outside the relegation spots!1
-
I don't think Nathan comes back from that
The last 20 minutes they didn't care
Gutless13 -
I've had enough -:time for Jones to go - clueless twat4

When was the last time we actually played well for more than 15 minutes - Jones is tactically useless6

All the more the reason to get a new manager now.Fortune 82nd Minute said:The only positive from today is that somehow we are still 6 points outside the relegation spots!4 -
I can't blame the players, I can't blame NJ, even for all his faults and fragile ego... He does remind me of a sporned child at times, BUT the leaked info around the owners wanting fresh investment, and the potential of a full sale of the club is so so detrimental. It can only breed uncertainty, and that's being reflected in our lack of a decent off season, let alone the quality upgrade we could all see we required to stay up this season . We are fucked.4

Good luck shifting match tickets for bolton at home next with us sitting in the bottom 62

That's weak. The players and manager still have a job to do and they aren't.ozaddick said:I can't blame the players, I can't blame NJ, even for all his faults and fragile ego... Feel like this is more about the owners than Jones. Whatever happened in the summer with regards to the complete lack of budget and wanting to sell has left us nowhere near the type of quality required to compete at this level. Midfield just gets absolutely walked through and there's a complete lack of creativity that we've been crying out for.17

Every game is the same. Really good 10-15 minutes then we start to drop deeper and deeper with a hopeful long ball to a lone forward the only option. Then a frenetic final 15 as we scramble for scraps. Only we didn’t even get the last 15 today. The Red Robin said:First 20 minutes great. Same old after that. Jones has his ready made excuse with the disallowed equaliser but we’re lucky Norwich only got three. Time up Jones.3 -
Does have all the feeling of a relegation slide this season.
Need to start having a serious think about recruitment ahead of the Jan window. We’ve tried domestic signings, we got them wrong. We changed tactics, went abroad, and got that wrong too.

Do we think this squad is good enough to stay up? If not we will likely act in January. However do we allow Jones to stay to oversee that window? Because at the minute we are going down.0

Bring back Ollie Skipp.25

We were not good - true. But the Ref was a fucking disgrace. Mbick going into box to run on and score. Their player hauling him back by the shirt and nothing given.
Ref disgraceful to not give that. Knibbs chance and if a Pen couldve been a draw - deserved or not.2 -
I’ve backed knibbs but I think that might top it for the worst sub appearance I’ve seen in a long time.5
-
Need to spend £5m minimum in January to stay up, which won't happen.1
-
Calamity Koumetio and Dire Ramsey at fault for at least 2 of the 3!Defence looks shaky every time a team comes forward. The midfield, regardless of how it changes, is piss poor, and the attack goes from potent threat to limp and lifeless at the drop of a hat!
no bones about it, we’re are in a tail spin and there is nothing looking likely to change.
the football is stale, fans are turning and league one the only likely destination3 -
No idea where we are going to pick up the required 38 or so odd points needed to stay up.
We've had a very favourable run of games since we got battered by Stoke and picked up 4 whole points from a possible 21.
It's not just relegation form, its relegated by early April form7 -
We are going down -
Jones has to go to give us any chance of staying up -
Who comes in? I have no idea.
We were a terrible watch anyway - now its just entirely predictable.
The rage is simmering.
It's seems unfathomable that we can be this bad.
6 -
If we enter the relegation zone I doubt we leave it3
-
Disappointing, really, really poor run of form. One point from Burnley, Watford and Norwich is a long way from good enough.
As I said on the match thread, the owners put £12M or so in last summer and it was pretty much wasted on players who barely feature for us. This summer it was cut right back, but our biggest purchase of £1.5M still can't get minutes (despite it being the second time that our Director of football has bought him).. It's such poor recruitment.
Who have we actually bought to the club since Jones joined we could make a reasonable profit on?
Same as last week, every player we have bought in for 3 years, Jones has described as an athlete first and foremost. But we need some guile and creativity. Those ayers won't join a club where he is manager. It's a massive issue.
Thank gawd I am sat in the sun by a pool rather than rainy London and thank goodness my kids are playing for England next weekend in a tournament so I won't be travelling to Middlesbrough which I would otherwise have done.

Money just doesn't buy players of skill, it buys the mindset of winners. We start games strong, then we seriously lack belief.4

Made a last minute decision not to plod up there from Medway, and watch on tv,best decision I have ever made, that was depressing. After 20 good minutes, what happened.Almost like a flick of a switch we went from being decent to total rubbish.Out played, out run,out thought. They seemed to have men over all the time,so much space, look at the second goal, shocking defending. The disallowed goal, was a mystery, but would have papered over the cracks.Just cannot see where the points are going to come from, thats 2 weeks on the spin, teams on appalling runs have just destroyed us.After the monumental effort of getting out of league 1 ,on this showing we are going back with a whimper.5
