I don't think our players are committed enough and Jones doesn't seem able to reinforce a mentality. He does change I suppose, but it's not quick enough. If we go ahead we get way too comfortable and complacent and if we concede it's all over unless we get a dodgy goal and then get complacent again. I think losing Doc's leadership has affected that but the fact our last few games have been matches we should be winning and instead we get complacent and fall apart.fenaddick said:
He changed the formation and about half the team today. What do you mean "doesn't change"?YardAddickt said:I feel numb we are falling apart and Jones is oblivious to the problems he can't stay in this job if he doesn't change
If that makes sense it's that his mindset clearly isn't working and we end up being too passive and like last season unable to come back. If that doesn't make sense I guess I'm not great at analysing (which is entirely plausible).0 -
We knew last season we’d go on some bad runs and always felt NJ could turn it around. This season feels a bit different tbh. I don’t have the same belief especially when his “side of the ball” that was always so reliable and got us points, the defence, looks poor

NJ not hiding behind the ref when talking to Sky10

Team selection confuses me a lot…
seems as though knibbs was been given minutes to build him up and this would have been the game to start him in, yet Carey and JRC both start who havnt featured in weeks.
Mwamba came on for Skipp agaisnt Watford and looked great but doesn’t come in this game even tho Skipp dropped
Mesik been great and Edwards looked ropey but Edwards starts
Im glad Kelman started and Leavurn is better off the bench.
NJ this season just seems to keep going down rabbit holes that lead no where. So frustrating to watch and genuinely cannot predict what team will come out next week as NJ been so unpredictable and kind of doesn’t seem to be picking teams based on form3 -
Agreed, both took their goals brilliantly 🤪Dazzler21 said:Kelman keeps his spot for me. Mesik regains his. Everything and everyone else needs to man the fuck up and own their performances.5 -
I wouldn’t get rid of Jones. But that side has relegation written all over it.
Such a lack of quality in the middle of the pitch which we’ve been saying for about 18 months. How haven’t Rodwell and Jones identified that?3 -
What happened on 20 minutes? It’s as if someone flicked a switch.9
-
I have played in Pub teams more cohesive than that sorry mob.Going to be a long cold winter 🥶1
-
This is going to snowball quickly. Absolutely nailed on for relegation as things stand.3

I think this goes further and deeper into the heart of the club than the 90+ minutes of “play” we see each match.
The second half looked like there was a huge row in the dressing room at half time, we just looked bereft of any ideas or interest in the club, shirt or fans.
Nathan has to take the flak and deal with the unrest in the next week or just fu*k off as soon as possible…2 -

Given the first 15 minutes, I was willing to give Jones some credit for setting the team up as he did and how the players got about their task. We were pressing and at least showed some urgency about us.Once Norwich got into it, you could actually argue it’s not on Jones because we were so poor on the ball. We simply couldn’t find simple passes and keep the ball. That’s not anything Jones can sort out. The players have to take responsibility for that. Then it all unravelled. Soft equalizer, shocking from Ramsay. Then another soft goal for their second, and from that point on, massive uphill struggle. The way Norwich knock the ball around is something we can only dream of, and they’re not even a top team. They’re in a false position imo, and will climb the table, but the first 15 minutes showed they could be got at
we’re also starting to look very shaky at the back - whether that’s to do with the problematic issue of not sorting the central midfield and the exposure it results in, or that we just don’t look as compact and organised as we did last season
I think we get beat next week, but Jones’ fate will be decided by the Bolton and Sheff Utd results. If he doesn’t pick up a win from either of them, then he’ll be gone8 -
I wonder if binning off Docherty like Jones did was the tipping point for these players?To1SCP said:
I’m not sure that’s true, I think this lot of players think Jones is a clown and can’t be bothered with him. You only have to watch the way they look at him when he’s yelling at themNo.1 in South London said:Jones will not be able to turn this around. Not because he doesn’t have the skill set, but because we simply have a completely under equipped squad of players for this level ☹️……… and apart from the outlier at West Ham, we haven’t even played the really good teams yet.
Doc was obviously well liked and respected and when you see one of your team mates get treated like that, I suspect you dont burst a gut for the guy who did it.11 -
Down with the Dow Jones. That’s how it looks at the moment0
-
Up when we scored I thought Norwich were absolute pants. We go one up and play a totally different team. All our own making, Kelman goes through on goal, no support within 30 yards, no one making a supporting run. That’s all down to Jones, that’s how we play.A complete novice to the game would know we cannot be expected to defend a 1-0 lead wit 80 odd minutes to go.Player not good enough to defend at this level, midfield with no ball players and an attacking force of none.We are league one next year.3

Check out his goal kick for their third goal ☹️SoundAsa£ said:
Okonkwo was blameless for any of the goals, plus he kept the score line down to what could have been a land slide.valleynick66 said:Okonkwos worst game to date. Lloyd also off his best.
Yes the disallowed goal did for us but we just drifted to sleep.
TC kept plugging away and didn’t let his miss affect him. JRC I thought warranted his place.
One or two clearances weren’t acceptable but apart from that he was fine….he’d get a 7.5 from me.0 -

A terrible result to follow weeks of terrible results. Nothing has improved since Cardiff.
This is on the owners for me, who spent nothing in the summer and now this is what we get.
What an avoidable relegation this will be, and I’m now in the ‘we’re getting relegated’ camp.
Sack Jones? What for? Who’s gonna save this team from relegation with Coventry and Skipp et al in midfield. It’s just a joke and I’m so irritated by it all.
What an absolute slog it was to get out of league one. I don’t think I have the stomach for it again.
Totally agree. What we need is a manager who can come in and galvanise these players. Someone who can pick up points we probably don't deserve, scrape the odd 1-0 win, and get us to January with enough points on the board to give the owners a clear message: back him in the transfer window or we're going down. For me, the best man for that job is probably Jones.2 -

We are shockingly complacent this team gives up after we concede and gets too comfortable when we score.0

My signal started going just as NJ was being interviewed. Can someone summarise?1
-
We have no midfield that's why we struggle to score and defend - not one of those midfielders is good enough for championship football.10
-
Are we not fit? We proved for 20 minutes that we can play. Then all of a sudden it just stops. It wasn't like that at West Ham. I've been watching us since 1967 and do not remember ever seeing us constantly played off the park every week.
We somehow got to half time level, but everyone could see that Norwich would get a second if changes weren't made at HT.
Within 3 minutes of the restart Coventry was lucky not to concede a certain penalty, then we did concede just a couple of minutes later.
Jones is out of ideas. We need someone who can give the players some belief and bring some joy back into the club.2 -
Not good enough defensively and making basic errors. One slight dig saying something along the lines of “they were conceding a lot before I came in, then I stopped it and now it’s happening again” but did seem to be taking the majority of the responsibility. He was clearly fumingYannTheMann said:3 -
I think the covered end needs to play to strengths more and start booing from minute one instead waiting until the game is gone.8

Billy put in a couple of goal saving tackles. He might make the odd mistake but more positive than negative in my view.sammy391 said:Calamity Koumetio and Dire Ramsey at fault for at least 2 of the 3!Defence looks shaky every time a team comes forward. The midfield, regardless of how it changes, is piss poor, and the attack goes from potent threat to limp and lifeless at the drop of a hat!
no bones about it, we’re are in a tail spin and there is nothing looking likely to change.
the football is stale, fans are turning and league one the only likely destination31 -
We’re infuriatingly unlucky in combination with not being very good. The disallowed goal, the TC shot deflects the wrong side of the post and then our deflection goes straight in.7
-
For me, they continually overloaded the inside right position, but we were so poor in counter-acting it. Surely the management could have seen it???
KAG has been awful all season, and we were better after he went off. Coventry had his worst game for the club. Mamba is not a DCM!
So need Chalobah back...3 -
HE SAID WE DIDNT DO THE BASICS RIGHT FFS2
