I could see Atletico doing it as they want to develop their profile in order to compete financially with the big two. It would be crap on their fans though who have already forked out for a season ticket at their stadium which is ten miles away from their south Madrid heartland on the opposite side of the city.

US fans aren't exactly going to rush out to watch Alaves v Girona.

So many tourists in the Nou Camp and Bernabeu as it is, the atmosphere will probably be no different.
