[cite]Posted By: aliwibble[/cite]I'd still rather Bristol City than Hull though.
I can't agree. I grew up and still live in Wurzel land, and to have them a division above us would be a bit of a nightmare for me personally. Although it would only be for 9 months or so, the piss taking would be unbearable.
There's also the ambush their 'fans' laid on us after the FA cup tie at Ashton Gate to take into account. They are not a particularly nice bunch.
[cite]Posted By: bingaddick[/cite]Palarse looked as poor as they did against us at the Valley. I thought Brizzle were by far the better team.
I thought so too. Palarse tried to 'out football' a better footballing team, and paid the price for it. I expect to see some more direct stuff from them on Tuesday.
There's a circus in the town in the town and Simon Jordan is a clown is a clown and Neil Warnock's keeping Palace down Warnock's keeping Palace down Palace down !
Today we were very poor, probably the poorest we've been since Warnocks arrival, apart from maybe our non-appearance at The Valley, it was surprising because I'd have thought Warnock would have fired them up, certainly at half time after a poor 1st half, unfortunately for us though, we were equally as poor in the 2nd half. However to be that bad and only lose 2-1 gives me a bit of hope, as we have a great away record, so don't count us out yet.
Henry, sorry mate didn't buy a programme, so don't know if it had any Charlton comments. As far as the attendance issue goes, I know it'll be rubbished on here, but I certainly didn't see any empties apart from a small block between the Bristol fans and the Holmesdale.

Thanks Budgie, lets us know if you hear. I know one or two people who might be interested to know what, if anything, was said.
What's the capacity at The Kelmsey Arena? 26,225 according to the Rothmans so thats a 3, 386 difference I'm assuming that ST holders don't get a freebie so that is purely tickets sold.
I know that there was trouble at the last Palace v CIty game but a 3,386 neutral zone is going a bit over the top. For comparision that is more than the whole of the Jimmy Seed stand.
As you say, the neutral area was very small, a couple of hundred at most, maybe its a bit of an accounting issue, but there were certainly more there than the previos week against Burnley, which was less, as Burnley didn't sell out.
I'm pleased to see the reaction on here, I certainly wasn't expecting too much sympathy, but I hope that I might be able to see a lot happier reaction after the second leg, we certainly won't put as bad a performance again, after all we are number one in South London. ;)

Will have to wait and see. Seems from reports that City matched Palace in the more physical side of things and played the better football. Johnson is a clever coach who's done it abroad. Obviously I don't want to see Palace go up but putting that aside I like to see Johnson given a chance to manage in the top flight.
No. 1 in South London. I remember that being sung twice this season by Charlton fans. Can't remember who we were playing but I'm getting on, it will come to me eventually.

Win or lose, palace aint on the booze!
Didn't think you were too great at The Valley.
But Bristol City have a great home record...
22,869.
Two bob outfit.
Budgie/SOS any truth in the rumour that Mr Jordan made some remarks about Charlton in his programme notes?
City didn't bring many only a few thousand. And it was on telly. Nice weather as well so the garden had to be done. Good turnout really considering.

in terms of braincells it was a 22,869 neutral zone...

A comparrison with last week just by looking around then wouldn't be valid.
I would stress that there is no possibility that any club would give a false gate number in order to avoid paying their landlord or the tax man
You're so subtle Henry.
And good for you for coming on here Budgie. Are you going to Ashton Gate on Tuesday?
