not enough consistency from the bowlers this year, Jospeh looked good in spells, Arafat best by far, the others wouldnt be to pleased with there season haul, most disapointing was tredwell for me, start of the season he was one of sky sports 'eye on england' players, just sadly hasnt done enough and wouldnt scare any batsman at this time.

Yep, Joseph has shown promise at the end of the season, Khan hopefully will be a lot fitter next year, the injury last year was a massive blow, he was looking promising. Tredwell will hopefully go and play in SA over the winter and learn a bit, as will some of the others, hopefully Khan. Just need to get the batting line up looking stronger.
as you said earlier mate Ramps would be top draw, i know i have heckled him in the past when surrey have been in town but you cant argue with his record, its abit like heckling rooney and ronaldo its just coz there so good!!!
The mighty Yorkshire are going well (275-8) - looks like Kent will need a Sussex win or they are down (and even then it might be close if Yorks get 4 or even 5 batting points + 3 bowling points). Would be an amazing turnaround seeing as Kent only needed 170 or so to beat Lancs last week.
Kent need to rethink their batting line up for next season, Denly and Key are ok as openers, as is MvJ at #4, then Stevens at five. But from there on down there are too many all rounders and not enough specialists.
In particular Kent need a strong number three to come in. Presumably this could be an overseas pro as I think MvJ qualifies as English for next season.

It's a shame we have lost Dexter and Walker.
I think Dexter in particular could have done the number 3 job.
[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]come where are the people that know how things stand.Bonus points etc
Sussex 144-6 which means Yorkshire have another bowling point.
Kent, Sussex and Yorkshire all on 154 at the moment. Lancashire look likely to beat somerset so forget them now.
Durham were 429-7 off 125 overs or thereabouts. Kent have 5 overs to get 2 wickets for the 3rd bowling point (Durham could always declare of course to put us under pressure).
***438-7 off 128.4 overs. 8 balls to take 2 wickets so forget the 3rd bowling point:-( ******
457-7 off 131.1 which means we have missed the 3rd bowling point as you have 130 overs to get 9 wickets.
We are 232 runs behind and the best we can now hope for is to bat from whenever Durham declare until tomorrow night and pick up 4 more points for the draw.
If, as is far more probable, we lose we finish on 154 points.
We now have to hope Yorkshire bowl Sussex out for less than 200 and go on to win the game.
If that happens we are safe because we have won more games than Sussex.
Kent need Yorkshire to bowl Sussex out for less than 200 or it will be long odds on that Kent will go down. Yorkshire need 3 more wickets to be safe from the drop I would reckon as Kent won't win and Yorkshire won't lose.

Blew it for us at The Rose Bowl!

Durham 52-0 off 16 overs spanking us all round the park.
Durham 62-0 Tredwell and van Jaarsveld bowling.
Durham 113-1
is that not right?
Yorkshire 299-8 so 2 batting points already and 1 run off a 3rd. Sussex 2 Bowling points.
Durham 177-3 Kent have picked up a bowling point to add to the batting point gained this morning.
Sussex and Kent both have 153 points I think and Yorkshire 150 (including a 3rd batting point).
Edit for the sake of completeness: Lancashire 231-8 so have 1 batting point and 3 bowling from yesterday putting them on 156 points.
Yorkshire 300-8 so 3rd batting point confirmed.

As it stands I agree we need to get somebody in.
Sussex 3 bowling points puts them on 154 points.
Durham 237-4 Kent have 1 batting and 1 bowling point giving 153 points
Lancashire have 3 bowling and 1 batting point giving 156 points
We desperately need more wickets!!
Kent 154 points
Sussex 154 points
Yorkshire 153 points
at close of play day 2.
If we lose and Yorkshire and Sussex draw then we are b****red I think.
ps.sorry its late but ; Well said Adam.

I think we are favourites to drop as it stands.
