It's very, very different to The Stooges but I love it, the guy is a genius & his show in Calgary was one of the best I have seen in 20+ years of gig going.

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head

David Sylvian - Secret of the beehive
    Peter Broderick - home
Ella Guru - the first album
  • Beastie Boys - To the 5 boroughs

    Cracking album for me.
  • Patty Hurst Shifter are excellent. From Raleigh, North Carolina , the same town as Ryan Adams - which explains why Ryan cites them as his favourite band.

PHS's drummer Skillet Gilmore used to be in Whiskeytown with Ryan, and married Whiskeytown's Caitlin Carey.

We included a PHS track (I think from their Too Crowded for the Losing End album) on an Uncut covermount cd a few months ago and it got an amazing response from Uncut readers.
