There are so many but the above spring to mind bearing in mind the strict criteria of being able to listen to the albums in their entirety without skipping. Some of the above artists have done better stuff but as entire albums these are up there for me.
Nice to see a couple of John Martyn here, would also add his One World, Bless the Weather and Inside Out albums.
Quite a few, but one I was listening to this morning: Songs the Lord Taught Us - The Cramps and another that springs to mind Costello Music - The Fratellis.
Some great suggestions here. I think of those already listed Violator and Rattus Norvegicus would be my faves. Here's a few that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet.
Bill Nelson's Red Noise - Sound on Sound
The Fall - This Nations Saving Grace (The Brixie period was always the best)
Kraftwerk - The Mix (not sure if you'd call it a compilation or not, but seeing as they spent the last forty years perfecting/repackaging their back catalogue, I think it’s fair game)
A band that's gone downhill but first time I listened to Word Gets Around by Stereophonics I thought it was great from start to finish. Still love this album now.
quite a few, especially Abraxas, the Santana classic which was released 53 years ago this year .. it still (to my ears) sounds as crisp, rhythmical and innovative as it ever did
George Michael: Older Elbow: Asleep in the Back, The Seldom Seen Kid Richard Hawley: Coles Corner, Lady's Bridge Mansun: Attack of the Grey Lantern, Six Keane: Hopes and Fears Goldfrapp: Felt Mountain Depeche Mode: Violator, Songs of Faith and Devotion The Cure: Disintegration, Bloodflowers Pet Shop Boys: Actually, Behaviour
Court and Spark .. Joni Mitchell's first foray into jazz influenced song writing .. the tracks meander from whimsical to serious soul searching .. recommended

Megadeth - Youthanasia
Queen - A Night At The Opera / A Day At The Races / Innuendo / Made In Heaven
Another album for my list (and how I forgot it I don't know because I've been listening to the bloody thing this week):
Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption
Pulp - Different Class
Arctic Monkeys - AM
In fact all their Albums for me are Epic .
Real shame that they get the ‘cringe’ tag (though fairly self inflicted), because they’re clearly a very capable band when they want to be.
Doesn’t get much of a mention in comparison to their other albums but I think it’s pretty good IMHO.
All America albums.
10cc's first few albums 10cc/Sheet Music/the original soundtrack.
Not usually my cup of tea, but I love it.
