Ultravox - Systems Of Romance Joy Division - Closer Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures The Damned - Machine Gun Etiquette White Lies - To Lose My Life Keane - Hopes and Fears Kraftwerk - The Man Machine
Seeing that I never added my selection first time round in rough chronological order. Thinking about there are albums which I possibly like more than these, but there are a track or two which I skip.
The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds The Beatles - Revolver Macca and Wings - Band on the Run Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxygene XTC - Black Sea ELO - Time Squeeze - East Side Story Depeche Mode - Violator Pet Shop Boys - Behaviour The Divine Comedy - A Short Album about Love Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head. I'm not their biggest fan, but this is such a consistent album The Divine Comedy - Absent Friends David Gray - Life in Slow Motion

Glad someone has picked a Squeeze album and ESS and agree this is my favourite of theirs.

I would like to pick a couple of XTC’s albums.
Oranges & Lemons Nonsuch
I love XTC and those two albums, but there are a couple of tracks which I skip on them, hence I left them out!
I was also tempted to include Squeeze's Play, which is sombre but very solid.
Oasis - Be Here Now, Morning Glory, Definitely Maybe The Twang - Love it When I feel like this Green Day - Dookie and American Idiot The Libertines - Up The Bracket
Born Sandy Devotional - The Triffids Starfish - The Church Closer - Joy Division Wilder -Teardrop Explodes Candy Apple Grey - Husker Du What's Going On - Marvin Gaye There's a Riot Going on - Sly Stone
Requirement for consistently good no filler means Jackie Leven, Orange Juice, Pet Sounds, Kate Bush, Johnny Cash (and loads of others) miss out. I'd have Ethiopiques vol 4 Mulatu Astatke but I think it's a compilation. And Samantha Crain's exquisite I Guess We Live Here now is a mini album.
