This is absolutely brilliant and i've taken the liberty of posting it on the site and, yeah, i'll take the grief if they manage to pull it off.
When I first saw it, I initially thought it would be funny, but it doesn't take long to realise the logistics of it, simply wouldn't allow it to happen. There were some people on the BBS who did contribute, but overall I think most Palace fans realised it would be a no go, and left it at that.
As has been said on here by some, some people have more money than sense.

Not sure it is that much -thread says 757 less the cost of the paperwork which is non refundable. Not that they paid 700 quid for the paperwork. oh to be wrong though haha.
Lets face it, it was a good idea, and would have been very funny to see it. But its even better that they have failed to follow it up and lost a lot of money in the process.

Of course these saps had a pretty good chance to take the piss in january but opted to look at the floor and shuffle along the road with their hands in their pockets! Are brighton still struggling? Maybe they could divert their little glider down there?
Brilliant! Has to be my favourite football story of the year. Why didn't anyone who tried to organise this farce consider the fact that The Valley is right next to an International airport? I'll be laughing at Palace over this for years to come, 700 quid well spent in my opinion.
