Why not see what is around now, and just perhaps pick them up at a cheaper price in January ... price is always increased for promoted teams during the close season.

Omo has been signed for a month, apparently to take a good look at him with a view to being offered a permanent contract in January.
He's also been signed because Parky lost both the squad's specialist right backs in the same week.
Solly won't be available again for selection until February, so cover is essential.

We've also got a change of keeper; Parky won't want to disrupt the bedrock of the defence (Sodje/Dailly/Semedo), making only the one defensive player change without moving everybody around and causing uncertainty.
Youga's also in the form of his life - so nobody dare take a risk there by moving him ..... (!)
Regarding Omo's rumoured defensive liabilities - well, Richardson is always better going forward than defending, so just like for like. The other defensive players know the ropes.
Parky will be conscious of the fact ....... that if he's going to need to strengthen the side now and perhaps also for the run up to Christmas, then he needs to pull in loan players now.

The loan window shuts an a couple of weeks or so. Now or wait until January if he needs to get cover for the squad.

Yes, we'd all like to pick up non contract, loan or buy Premiership players, but we can't afford the wages can we ?
