  • Kent 2-2 ;-(

    Key & D B-D out for ducks.
  • Gets worse: 2-3

    Northeast goes for 1.
  • Oh dear dear dear.

    2-4

Nash another out for a duck.

    Please don't shoot the messenger!
  • I was wondering why this thread is categorised as not sports related. Maybe a judgement on the Kentish batting? Man this is dire.
  • Seventeen runs on the board now. What a stand!
  • 17-5. Stevens out for 8.
  • Outof interest, what is the lowest score ever posted, as we seem to be looking to beat it.
  • Don't know but 29-6 now. Harmison out for 8.

  • Stumps 33-6. Billings 8* & Riley 0*.
  • Riley goes without troubling the scorers and 33-6 becomes 33-7.

Score now moved on to 52-7 with Billings and Ball taking the Gloucs attack apart!
  • Racing along at 82-7. Steady on chaps we might avoid the follow on at this rate ;-)

Billings (25) and Ball (32) are obviously conserving their energy in this heat with five and six 4's apiece.

  • 101-8 just two short now of avoiding the follow on.

Ball out for a fine 37 in the context of the match situation. Billings still there on 39.

Kent 114 all out. 138 behind.

    Billings 42.

    Lunch.
  • 114 all out. 138 behind.

Billings top scored with 42 and Bollinger became the 5th Kent batsmen dismissed for a duck. Like to say that you don't see that very often but would suggest that, with our brittle line up in the last few seasons, it wouldn't be too hard to find. Claydon the not out batsman on 9.
  • On another subject, Young AA aka Seb, weather permitting will make his Kent debut for the U11s on Sunday against London Schools at Alleynes School, Dulwich.

  • Claydon strikes 4-1.

William Tavare going nicely for Gloucs.

Didn't his old man play a game or two for Kent?

    EDIT: Uncle!
  • 29-2

    A wicket for Stevens.

Indeed he did - and Somerset though as you know only too well built his reputation with us. Is now a teacher and master in charge of cricket at his old school, Sevenoaks.
  • 74-3 Another wicket for Stevens.

    212-3 in real terms though!
  • Gloucs now 121-3 which is 259-3 in real terms. If the weather lasts a defeat beckons I fear.
  • 183-3 ie 321-3
  • The fightback is on! 193-4. A Gidman out to Stevens for 85
  • Gloucs 213-4 at close for a lead of 351. Probably going to have to bat for at least a day and a half to save the match - and if we do that we'll probably win it!
  • Rain on its way. Only hope unfortunately.
  • I'm staying well away from this thread...

Not even you could make things worse than they are ;-(

  • Gloucs 374-6 at lunch. Five wickets for Stevens.

The lead is now 512 and counting!
