Brilliant win, always knew that dropping key and northeast in this format is the way forward. Both very negative in the way they score their runs. Can't wait for wednesday nights game now.

Fair point, 000. And yes, great win from the (mainly) young 'uns!
Last time I looked online, Hants were looking decent so girded my ample loins and promise not to peek again.... and have only just seen the result ( thanks for the reminder, MOG)
Can't make Wednesday, I'm afraid but looking to go to Hove the following week.
I went to the game yesterday. Fantastic win for Kent when they looked not to have set no where near enough. I also didn't realise how good Billings was in the field - fast and a throw like an exocet. A good crowd, but very few Kent there which, I suppose, isnt too surprising given recent results.

Well done you, 1905.
Guess it's like football....you have to keep going and by the law of averages you'll see a win at some point !
I wonder how many families (if any) can claim 3 generations playing a form of county cricket?
Actually made his debut at the beginning of this season.
Plays in the Kent Premier League as do our local club Blackheath. He had a remarkable season last year scoring just under 800 runs in the league as well as taking 26 wickets at under 20 runs each. For some strange reason he moved to Lordswood CC this season. Sevenoaks and Lordswood could hardly be further apart as areas of Kent. As a club colleague once described Lordsword...."A little bit of Essex, in Kent."
Fabian Kruuse Cowdrey - His brother has an equally pretentious name!
As for 3 generations in county cricket, I think it's unique.
Three generations in Test cricket has been achieved by the George, Ron and Dean Headley and others I expect.
Blackheath CC are Kent 20/20 Champions after beating the mighty Hartley CC in the final at Beckenham on Sunday. We now move into the South of England Finals on 11th August, where we play Horsham CC in the semi. The winner of that will play the winner of South Wiltshire CC v The Surrey League champs (not known yet) in the South of England final on the same day. Venue yet to be confirmed but may be Beckenham again.
Got in the ground at 5.30 had a sherbet with another lifer then saw Dave Mehmet had a chat got to my seat after 10 overs, far too many toffs and stripey nigels #keepitreal&greatcompany

Maurice,Tim and Chris Tremlett were three different generations.
There is also Denis, Richard and Nick Compton.

Kent 139/4 - innings closed.
Can't imagine it's enough though.
Surrey collapsing 61/5 off 9.1 overs, three wickets to Stevens and two to Riley.
Surrey 140/5 off 19.1 overs.
Ex-Kent player Mahmood was in the mood for batting - 47 off 30 balls.
Oh well, let's hope the lads perform better on Sky on Monday evening against Hants.
T20 and first class cricket are very different of course but is he ready for first class cricket in the view of those who've actually seen him bat?
Hants won the toss & bat.
27-1 off 3 overs.
