Watching this on the TV here in Dubai. The Kent bowling looks pretty woeful. Dear me. Coles & Claydon in particular don't seem to have a clue how to slow down the runs. Are these really the best bowlers Kent have on their books?0

So Claydon went for 55 runs in 4 overs, while Coles went for 41. Seriously, where do they find these players? Guess it shows that with no money to spend, any professional sports team is just going to have to make do. Lots of similarities with Charlton unfortunately.0

Claydon is on loan from Yorkshire, plus he's an Aussie. Fabian Cowdrey, played cricket with him once or twice when we were about 12-13 and he was a spoilt little brat. Always crying and moaning when he wasnt the centre of attention (batting etc). I also am good mates with a couple of guys who play for Cowdrey and I believe he has the nickname "little shit" as he walks around not giving a toss about anyone but himself since he's a cowdrey. I'm a kent supporter and its the first time i've wished one of our players to fail. I know another player in the kent academy that's a great lad and has his head screwed on who I hope to god will make it. Just to show that KCCC academy doesn't encourage players to be massive dickheads.Fanny Fanackapan said:

I've got the same impression from the couple of times I've met him. Know a couple of the Kent boys well, who are great lads, but Fabian always seemed rather arrogant and a little shit. To be fair, the times I've met him since he's actually broken into the first team he has seemed better, so maybe being around the first team boys, rather than academy guys has taken him down a peg or 2.kentaddick said:

yeah, think kevin pietersen but with none of the talent and the surname of a cricketing legend and all the arrogance that goes with that and you have Fabian Cowdrey. He played very well at Surrey, end of get of the kids backs. We are skint they are our future.0

My nephew is in the Kent Academy and has been playing for the 2nd team. I'd love to see him play for the 1st team in the future.0

Not on his back at all. Just backing up Kentaddick's opinion of him with what I have seen myself when I have been with him. I'm not going to go as far as KA and hope he fails, as he is a Kent cricketer, but would be good if he did drop his rather arrogant and petulant demeanor that he seems to have. Its not exactly the mark of a nice bloke and it rather contradicts rather a lot of the great things associated with the Cowdrey name.0
