Can't believe he is actually leaving. Was wondering why he was bowling alright in the last couple of games. Obviously looking for a move to another county.
Yeah, big shame, obviously had a few issues with the Lions last winter, but a big big player if he gets his head right.

It's what they call in the profession "August cricket" - just like in football where players suddenly find some form as contract talks start...
Coles has demonstrated very little allegiance here.
I suppose the question we need to ask is do we have a young player ready to take his place or can we get someone with as much promise from another county for the same money we offered Coles?
We wish him well and are now focused on developing our squad of players who have a desire to play for Kent and have the same vision."
That to me clearly shows coles had no desire to play for kent. Not sure why but the lack of loyalty he has shown is dissapointing. What really annoys me most is the amount of times we stood by him, game after game while he was getting whacked around all around the park. Then leaves

Your quote is the opinion of Kent and although it may be correct is biased. I just wonder whether his desire to leave led to a lack of development or vice versa. It could be a money issue (does he want more than we are offering) but it could also be that he hasn't developed into the player he thought he would and is looking to move to a club with a better coaching set up.

needing 399 to win, Rain forecast for tomorrow so trying to force result today.
Bonus Points: KCCC 4 GCCC 2.
Another wicket goes down. HJH Marshall c †Jones b Claydon 15. 41/4.
I can only assume that it is because the weather forecast for tomorrow is so depressing and they think that there will be little or no play.
