I think there attendances have actually dropped since they've entered relegation! They also just had over 10k for the visit of premier league side wolves.

And before anyone gets upset that I'm making fun of dyslexia no, I really do have a mild version of it.
Training ground and academy, in Beckenham, Kent, with 4 full size pitches, junior size pitches, state of the art gymnasium and physiotherapy facilities, held by the way of a 15 year lease from August 2003
So, basically, in 8 years time you're looking for a new training ground too. Where do I sign?
I assume that everyone has seen this story by now? Didn't see mention of it above...from football365.
Croydon Council will ensure Selhurst Park remains a sporting venue, despite Crystal Palace's current financial woes.
The Coca-Cola Championship club are presently in the hands of administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, who is actively seeking a buyer.
The club could be forced to sell their prized assets should they continue to struggle financially but councillor Jason Perry is adamant Selhurst Park will not be used for anything other than sporting purposes.
In a statement, Perry said: "Because Crystal Palace is so important to our borough, the council wants to do everything in its powers to ensure the future of the club at Selhurst Park.
"The council wants to make it clear to anyone considering a financial stake in the club that the future of the ground in non-negotiable.
"As far as the council is concerned, Selhurst Park is a sports venue and it will remain that way."

Yep a sports venue. Could have a bar in the corner with a dart board.
Councils, as we all know, change their minds and put a spin on what they may or may not of said in the past.

So Croydon council turn down a planning application for Housing on the site - when they desperately need additional 'brown field housing developments' with Section 106 agreements within the Borough.
The developer appeals. It goes to the London Mayors office.
Boris would just give it a nod and a wink and through it goes. The only 'sporting purposes' area is the pitch - like Highbury. Have you seen the development there? And their main stand was listed. Unlike the Holmesdale End which is just listing.
[cite]Posted By: Friend Or Defoe[/cite]Apparently Palace have only sold 14k for the visit of Villa. The mind boggles.
I'd imagine Villa would bring at least 4k as well though. It's pretty poor but i reckon they'll still be over 20k there, which seeing as they get about 12-13k for league games is good going!

Over 40% of ST holders DIDN'T turn up. Crowd through the turnstiles was under 9,500!
Still the fanatics made some nice banners.
I think you'll find the 21,383 figure will be the published attendance for the Villa Cup game on sunday ;-)
sounds like a great idea
40% of ST holders didn't turn up! Oh well, they've already paid for the next 5 years so why bother.
The cock in the shirt
The cock ON the shirt
The h in the spelling
