Ha ha, typical self obsessed mind set !!
Yeah thats right, i mean i always spend £35 on a West Ham shirt just because i hate Millwall.
Of course. The only possible, conceivable reason a non-Argentine might buy an Argentina shirt is because of their jealously and resentment harbored towards England !!
Errr. I bought an Argentina shirt for my wife for her birthday. Is that OK? She isn't Scottish.
[cite]Posted By: Ru1986[/cite]i know that city almost as well as i do London or Canterbury although i dont love Paris like i do London and canterbury not much going for it but in relation to the support thing i dont have a choice really.
absolutely right, ru. paris will never make it big, not much going for it, not much at all.
ok not that it has nothing going for that was a bit strong. It's just the areas were my family live and the surrounding areas are grim but supose that can be said for lots of citys. It's got a great history too.
[cite]Posted By: sadiejane1981[/cite]South Africa got them in sweep stakes
Harsh have you seen their group no way they will get through that. Their doomed for a first round exit i am affraid.
I know it sucks but on the bright side there's no chance of me profiting from an England defeat if we get defeated that is
Yea you could have got North Korea at leas SA have some decent players (not that North Korea are not a good side kinda have to be half good to get to the WC anyway but Brazil, Ivory Coast and Portugal no chance) but at least SA have a little bit of potential good luck ;-)
Of the other teams in the World Cup, I always enjoy watching the Dutch. And Brasil, of course. Also got to meet Denmark manager Martin Olsen when he was at Ajax, and he was very friendly and a real gentleman.
I'd like to see an African team do well, since the tournament is on their continent. But which one? Host South Africa really isn't very good and Nigeria always flatter to deceive, and I'm not talking about emails telling of fabulous earnings they want to sent to your bank accounts. Maybe Ghana?
Can't see the crazy Hand of God leading the Argies to the promised land. And like most on here, I won't be sending any wishful thoughts to Italy, Germany and France.
If there were no England in the tournament then I would go for NZ - that would be a real fairy tale for them to do well considering the fact that they have actual part-time players in their side.
Holland. First team I ever remember seeing in 1974 ( i think) with Cruyff and co class. Also went to Edam during a world cup and saw Holland v Mexico in a very tiny bar where the atmosphere was great. Don't think anyone paid for a drink , they were just passed all night and free cheese and bread at half time.
