  • Maybe Dazzler's own post was unclear.

The bored users of Charlton Life were watching IN ANTICIPATION surely showing that this was one of the few things in the close season that was not boring?

But Manic_Mania and lordromford both chose to take it as an attack.

Dazzler made note to do better in future.
  • I considered giving you a pity lol, but I think i'll just hold off and wait for someone who wants to actually talk about the thread topic instead of slagging the participants.
  • Now that it’s over I will admit, working a week of nights on then two weeks off, the last two weeks until jury went to deliberation I was off and I watched every hour of the livestream religiously.  Couldn’t get enough of it. Having never seen any court proceedings and not being required at the time for jury service it was fascinating to me to watch how each individual withstood testimony, cross examinations, rebuttals etc.

No doubt in my mind that Heard fabricated a huge amount of her claims.
The differences in legal teams definitely helped.
  • It was stunning viewing. Stunning how badly heards legal team were prepared.

Johnny Depp though had a fantastic legal team.

I think as others have said, the case to the public was about finding the truth of what went on. The fact Heard kept trying to play victim after all the abuse she gave Depp was infuriating.

As a child I watched my Mum be a victim of domestic abuse to two separate partners. Heard showed not one sign of a domestic abuse victim.

Depp was not innocent in all of this. He said some dark stuff to her too. I think any abuse from him appeared to have been more psychological and maybe that's why Heard came across like she did. Maybe she really was hurt by it.

Either way the abuse appears two way and yet it was only Depp that was affected by Heard's article and the case in the UK. His career was cut to shit, whilst hers thrived.

    The result appears fair.

  • Why does this trial vindicate Depp but the trial Heard won in this country not vindicate her

why are we putting more weight on this trial than the other trial ?
  • it wasn't the Heard trial in the UK - she was a witness - it was against Dan Wooton who edited the Sun newspaper at the time, and lots of evidence was withheld
  • the majority of (in my opinion) the reason why JD won is because of Ambers testimony - she let in the TMZ guy and Kate Moss which is what I think swung it
  • Johnny Depp can now return to doing what he does best ~ acting in crap films. And Amber Heard can return to what she is best atv~ lying, abusing her partners and claiming victimhood

  • Depp is 58 and not a single one of his many famous ex's have ever mentioned that he abused them in any way. Heard is 36 and already has previous for domestic violence.

The legal question that's being addressed is whether or not Amber Heard's OpEd is true and whether it's defamatory.  The fact that they've both come out of this in a much worse state than they entered is mere fluff.  The legal case rests on whether what she wrote about him was true and, if not, did it damage him, materially.

So far, legally, it seems both parties are on for a big loss.
I read that Elon Musk is paying Amber’s legal bills.  He also made a £400,000 contribution to the donations she was supposed to be making out of the divorce settlement.
He had better NOT be paying her legal bills as Heard said on oath that the reason she hasn’t given the 2 charities her $7m divorce monies was due to Depp suing her - insinuating it was needed to pay their $6m fees. More lies, Miss Heard?

….Amber will be very cross with Dazzler as she insists that she has never seen or called herself a ‘victim’! Tutt.

Oh the irony... She recorded everything so the world could see and hear the troubles Depp went through and how he abused her - Instead one of those recordings was probably what helped her lose the case.

She certainly needs help, there was that psychologist who evaluated Heard and said she had a personality disorder.
  • Without sitting through all the evidence in court it's hard to make a judgement. Heard's credibility certainly seems to have been questioned.
  • A couple  of body language experts on TV said Heard wasn't telling the truth. Whereas they were more positive about Depp's evidence.

    Who is Jonny Deep ?
    Deep Roy’s brother.

Yep. The other one, for me, was the fact that snap-happy, evidence-addict Amber alleged rape with a bottle (during which she alleged bleeding) and yet not only didn’t record any injury, she didn’t even bother seeing her private doctor. Ditto when he allegedly punched her in the face countless times with a fist full of large rings that she felt meant her nose was broken. For me, that’s when the tide turned and the jury were left doubting anything that came out of her mouth.

I’m no Johnny fan as you certainly wouldn’t want your sister or daughter going out with him but, jeeze, she came across as one particularly nasty, malicious, vindictive, abusing, unreliable woman and witness. Left you wanting her to lose, frankly.
Possibly but he was with Jennifer Grey, Winona Ryder, Kate Moss and then Vanessa Paradis for over 10 years and as far as i'm aware not one of them ever said anything about any violence towards them.

Yet suddenly he's supposed to have turned into this monster. It's obviously possible but i find it hard to believe much of what she said.

  • True story….my wife before we met, worked in a radio station in Hartford, CT in the late 80s and Johnny Depp before he was super famous was on a promo tour for 21 Jump Street and did an interview. On the way out he started flirting with her and asked her out to lunch. She politely turned him down. I said to her yesterday that ‘you dodged a bullet there’…..lol

    Who is Jonny Deep ?
    70s porn star
  • There is a rumour concerning Amber Heard's hiring of "expert witness" Dr David Spiegel.  He's the bizarre, bumbling, odd character called on to give his opinion on Jonny Depp's mental health.

Johnny Depp David Spiegel and Amber Heard
    Dr David Spiegel, centre

His testimony was so amateurish and unconvincing that some people have suggested Miss Heard's team hired the wrong person.

There are suggestions that this person is the psychiatrist they intended to hire. He is Willson Professor and Associate Chair of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Director of the Center on Stress and Health, and Medical Director of the Center for Integrative Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he has been a member of the academic faculty since 1975, and was Chair of the Stanford University Faculty Senate from 2010-2011. Dr. Spiegel has more than 40 years of clinical and research experience studying psycho-oncology, stress and health, pain control, psychoneuroendocrinology, sleep, hypnosis, and conducting randomized clinical trials involving psychotherapy for cancer patients. He has published thirteen books, 404 scientific journal articles, and 170 book chapters on hypnosis, psychosocial oncology, stress physiology, trauma, and psychotherapy.

Unfortunately he's also called Dr David Spiegel.  And it looks like they inadvertently hired the wrong Dr David Spiegel.
  • For fuck sake you lot will be out with your pitchforks soon wanting to """""" her.
For a bit of balence I would respectefully suggest that the anti Heard crew her read this articule in todays Guardian -  https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jun/02/the-depp-defamation-suit-should-outrage-and-appall-you
