Not wishing to kick a hornets nest, but what is the situation with those who are not hetrosexual? &nubsp; I understand that they can give blood now. Is this the case?
I'm only asking as I regard giving blood as a sign of being a 'proper bloke.'
Proper bloke? Proper twat.
It is disgusting beyond words to criticise blood donors. Why don’t you show what a proper bloke you are by showing strength of character and apologising for your misjudged and poorly thought out comment.
Went along today to Holborn Viaduct. Form asked me if I had ever been paid for sex!! I had never considered charging before. I need to get out more often. Anyway, took longer than I expected and got a parking ticket. Im now paying to give blood! Thats a proper bloke !
got my blue card now (5-9 donations)... if you can give blood but don't, do! You'll feel great and you just need to read this thread to see how many people have been saved by donated blood!
Having returned to the UK, I am back on the bandwagon. They asked me what arm I used to give blood with, which I said I thought was my left arm (right handed). They weren't that impressed with the veins in the left arm, so had a look at the right, but these must have been worse, so they went for the left! Then the flowrate was on the low side...maybe its my body telling me to keep my blood to myself!

Bump. What a good thread / reminder for anybody considering donating, thanks MOG. I call in at the Tooting Centre for platelet donations - staff there are great (and always keep you topped up with tea, biscuits and sandwiches).

There you have it Smudge. The only 'misjudged and poorly thought out comment 'was your own.
