named after Harper lee the author of to kill a mockingbird if anyone wanted to know.
That's a shock - that either of them has ever read a book. I bet Beckham thought she meant Lee Harper.
The cynic in me would belive that they haven't ever actually opened this book but believe it will make them appear 'intellectual'.

I think he should have stayed with naming them after the place of birth/conception a la Brooklyn.

And taken up residence in Peckham.

Any list of great celebrity children's names has to include Penn Jillette (comedian/magician, for those who don't know him) who named his daughter Moxie CrimeFighter...

All told, Harper?  Not sure that's all that strange.

Harper Seven Beckham is much less stupid than some names out there:

    Moon Unit: Frank Zappa
Apple: Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow
Fifi Trixibell: Bob Geldof and Paula Yates (also parents to Peaches and Pixie)
Hopper: Sean Penn and Robin Wright
Lark Song: Mia Farrow and André Previn
Shiloh Nouvel: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
    Pilot Inspektor: Jason Lee
    Sage Moonblood: Sylvester Stallone
Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily - Michael Hutchence/Paula Yates

So she's gonna be Harper Seven.  If they rearranged the letters a bit it would be even sharper.

Sorry - nicked that from Twitter - but thought it was quite clever!

Jamie Oliver's kids' names probably take the biscuit:

Poppy Honey was followed by Daisy Boo, then Petal Blossom Rainbow and finally Buddy Bear.
