So where does Amy Winehouse rank among British female singers of the last 30 years?    Who else?  Kirsty McColl, Sade, Adele, Annie Lennox, Joss Stone, Lily Allen, Florence, Susan Boyle?  OK forget the last one but who else?

Not another opportunity to debate Amy's life and death, just a sharing of views on a particular group of artists.

    Elkie Brooks would be number 3 behind Amy and Joss Stone. A little wilder and she could have been another Janis Joplin.

    Not allowing Sandy Denny or Elkie Brooks, good as they were.  Hardy last 30 years.  Otherwise we could just say Dusty and the discussion would be over.

    I like Lily Allen but OK not everyone's favourite.

    Add Kate Bush & Dido to that list.   They all rank over Amy Winehouse.   Sadly the best thing to happen to Amy's career is her death. Just look what it did for Kurt cobane and Jimmy Hendrix.

    Why was Susan Boyle crossed out?!

    Death has increased some artist's legacy but Hendrix would've been highly regarded how ever long he lived for. Maybe not the best technically but highly influential.
