Solly for me closely followed by Kermigant and Hollands.
  • Can't understand why kermo should be 9 goals for a striker????

For me its solly his defending has been superb can only remember 1 or 2 occasions in which people have pasted him and it being his first season in the 1st team......BWP not far behind, 21 goals take them away and we would be in the playoffs.

I've narrowed it down to Solly, Morrison and Kermorgant, each has been consistently excellent through the season.

With JJ, Wiggins, BWP, Hollands and Taylor as honourable mentions.

I'm going to cop out and put the three contenders names into a hat and go with that.

Slightly surprised that there aren't more votes for Alonso or Clarke who contributed so much to our season;-)

There are so many contenders who, in any ordinary season, would walk it, that anyone who eventually gets the nod can consider themselves a worthy winner and those who don't win can be sure that their contribution to a wonderful season hasn't been overlooked.

As I won't be at either game can someone put a vote for Chris Solly in for me?

He's better than Cantona .. . Yann Kermorgant
In 90 minutes ( + 5' ), he can play up front, midfielder or defender
His head is made of granite from Brittany, as Jacko is a very good free kicks shooter, it is rarely injured ( he takes many blows )
Yann is really .. . the man
Yann, the beast, the rock !

Wiggins followed by Solly and then Morro. Wiggins has played every minute and even when we lost Jacko through injury at an important time, he still kept our left side solid and dangerous. Brilliant left back.

Very difficult to choose between Chris Solly & Yann Kermorgant, but I think I'll give my vote to Yann.

Quite simply, this is the hardest decision that any of us have had to make in many a year! Love it!

Spot on BDL. Solly has done it all season mr consistency... but Yann has been an absolute warrior on occasions I feel like I wanna reward him. I might just have to abstain.
  • It's been Chris Solly for me for quite a while but Yann is a beast. Very difficult.
  • Wish Yann & the team had pulled into the service station tonight , would have bought them all a Burger King.

    For me:

    1. Solly
    2. Kermorgant
    3. JJ

But as so many have said it could go to so many members of this year's team. To think that last year it was Semedo or... Semedo.

    My top players:
    1. Yann- absolute monster.
    2. Wiggins- Always loved him.
    3. Solly- Quality
    4. Morrison- Just Solid and scored a few important goals
    5. BWP- Goals were very important
    6. Hollands- Unsung hero in the middle
    7. JJ-Great leader and scoring midfielder
    8. Hamer- Had one rough patch but very good throughout the rest of the year.
    9. Taylor- solid aswell.

Could have been any of this lot last year!

With Jj and BWP officially the 6th and 10th best players in the football league respectively, I'm going for Solly with Kermorgant a close 2nd.

I'm really torn between (in no order) Morrison, Solly and Yann.

I think those three have just edged ahead of (again in no order) Jacko, Wiggins, Hollands and BWP.

I'll have to base my choice on the one game I will see all season at home to Wycombe so it could be anyone!

It's tough but I'm going to go with Solly. Every team in this league at some point has tried exposing him and he has knocked everyone of them out of the park.

Never thought he was going to make it, but the lad is hard as nails and a true indication that hard work and commitment will get you anywhere. So pleased for him to come back and make the impact he has had after the long injury he had,

Rhoys Wiggins, surprised looking through the thread it seems that I'm the only one who thinks Rhoys has been the best !

i've gotta go with kermo, just because he scores so many vital goals. 1-0 wins always seem to come from a goal by yann.
  • Player of the year - Chris Solly

Legion d' Honneur awarded to Yann. He has the makings of a legend.
  • Chris Solly his performances have been off that exceptional high level all year and for that reason alone gets my vote.

Yann Kermogrant is a very good player and I believe he'll get the players player of the year award for what he gives to the team.

Honourable Mentions also to Wiggins, Hollands, BWP, and Morrison
