Just finished reading "A Storm of Swords (Blood & Gold)", the 4th book......and in my opinion the best one so far. Which, I believe, should also be the new upcoming series. End of this book was brilliant, didn't anticipate that!
On to "A Feast for Crows" now....really enjoying the books.
Just watched every episode spread over four days. Utterly fantastic. The sex and violence is a bit much even for me, but for television, the casting is superb. And ye gods the women in it are out of this world. Pretty much all of them are stunning - Lena Headey and Carice van Houten obviously, but Margaery is also captivating. Hands down though, Emilia Clarke as the Khaleesi is the most spellbinding woman I have ever seen. She makes me feel like a dirty old man just watching her.
Glad I left it as long as I did so I could make my own mind up without the hype. Sadly now have to wait about three months for s4 to start.
Special mention for the red wedding scene. Holy shit!
