    Really? :)
  • Yeah francis thinks VG is rubbish
  • Uncle, you're being well out of line here...

...some would say you were offside.
  • Charlton life is funny.
  • Now that should do the trick
  • WSS aka Edward Snowden
  • Plaaayer aka Starbucks, Vodafone, Google, Jimmy Carr.
  • All of those are better than chief quimby bar snowdon

  • Hangs head and walks back to stake out with donuts

Lol, was aimed at the white Mo Farah.
  • I just wish Jonjo was of an age breaking into SCP's team and not when we were still on that terrible slide. Good luck to the lad though. Glad he got a big move.
  • Shelvey was a good player for us and hopefully has a big future in the game. I don't think he's too good for a loan move to someone like Norwich but I do think Liverpool would be foolish to get rid of him at such a young age on a permanent basis. That said I don't think anyone deserves any kind of abuse or comment on here if they don't agree with a footballers uncle.

Norwich finished 11th or 12th last season and have in Chris Hughton a good footballing coach. Going there would be a risk - if Hughton gets headhunted or if Norwich struggle for some reason then his career could be seen to be going backwards. But at 21 he needs to be playing regularly, Liverpool won't be in Europe next season so his chances there might be a bit limited if he's not going to be considered a starter.

I don't say anything on here I wouldn't say to your faces. If you want to say whatever you like on here! Yes you know the crappy little remarks to provoke a response, well don't go pissing yourselves when you get one. Don't aim a comment at me and I wont aim one at you's. Thankfully the people who run this site welcome supporters from other clubs. That being said I probably go to more matches than the little pissy keyboard warriors saying I should be on a west ham site. Like I said, I wont say anything on here I wont say to your face.... Unless you can do the same I don't give a toss what you think.

The thing is, nobody aims 'crappy little remarks' at you until you start demanding to meet people face to face,or calling them 'muggy little pricks'.It would appear you're the one that 'goes pissing himself' when your comments are reciprocated . . .

You're justifiably proud of your nephew, and if he were the subject of abuse on here I could understand your bombast - but he isn't.
If you trawl through this thread - and elsewhere - you'll see 99% of the posts are wholly positive and there is nothing whatsoever that could be construed as being remotely derogatory save for a couple of unflattering photos which - and I can only imagine -your nephew is big enough to take on the chin.

I'll assume the 'pissy little keyboard warriors saying I should be on a West Ham site' referred to me.This is a Charlton forum and at times we take the piss out of other fans,West Ham's included. It's allowed and if you find it offensive, move on without the histrionics.

I was a big fan of your nephew when he was with us,but now he's gone and like everyone else on here I wish him well as I do all ex-Charlton players.

You just need to calm down, dear boy.

    Peace.

  • Oh have I wandered into the Jonjo Shelvey's Uncle Thread?

Enough of the crap. Yes Alan does get defensive of Jonjo... Any family member would. Doesn't mean I agree with the scale of defensiveness but can't say for sure I wouldn't act the same.

Back to Jonjo now... I think he has the ability to become great bit waiting for Gerrard to step down could hinder his ability to progress as he needs first team football.

Astounding that Shelvey and Bailey are dominating Charlton Life, what, 2 years after they left?

Raines was my alma mater as well
  • i think for his own sake jj needs to find a club where he is going to play in a specific position and stay there ...i think he is better playing in behind the main striker role in a 4411 type of set up or central midfield ..definitely not a wide player

    i wish him well
