Hope things work out for you at Swansea, Jonjo. I have watched you playing for Charlton since you were fifteen and you have been a credit to yourself and your family. It is a pity that it didn't work out at Liverpool but it will only help your football education being a regular at a good Club with a top coach.
We have done remarkably well with the various sell on and promotion clauses etc that we negotiated over the last few years. Some of the day one prices may have dissappointed but just goes to show Murrey worked the best deals he could at the time
I actually think in terms of quality of players (bar Gerrad and Suarez) Swansea are better than Liverpool.
Good players, good manager and I think they will have a good season next year. If they can hold onto that Chico fella and Jonjo can start scoring a few more goals like Lampard and Gerrad have done over the years he could find himself being noticed and force his way into the England set up. Fingers crossed
This transfer could be the difference between us keeping and not selling Solly
it could be the case that in the period since Jonjo left at a time we were strapped for cash we may have renegotiated terms with Liverpool and have already been paid this amount or more likely less. been done before. we will probably never know.

So roughly £375k
What the actual figure will be I doubt we'll ever know but £375 is a decent estimate.
Think that he could do a very good job there.
Swansea sign Jonjo Shelvey from Liverpool #SSN
Here's hoping we haven't already sold the sell-on clause cos we need every penny!
So doubt we will be earning as much as 375k, but it's money we didn't budget for so that's always good.

The money we get will probably be used instead to pay bills that the owners would pay otherwise, shame.
According to SSN the fee was £5M. So if Henry Irving is correct we get 15% of £1.5M = £225K.
