  • He was a pleasure to watch last night. Him and Wilshire future of England's midfield imo. I was envious of those 50+ yard pingers he was producing time and time again with absolute ease.
  • Great game from Jonjo last night! Couldn't have gone to a better team!

You must be a proud uncle.
  • Think he's going to have a very good season, great performance last night. Looks like the right team, playing the right style under a coach who wants to play football.

Good to see young English talent moving to get regular football, too many warm the benches of the "bigger clubs".
  • Didnt see the game but not surprised by the comments of how well he played for swansea. There style of play suits him down to the ground. Hope the lad pushes on this season as we know what a talent he is. Its in your hands Jonjo. All the best to him.
  • Stuck him straight in my fantasy football team on the back of last nights performance.
  • Malmo -Swansea on ITV 4 if anyone's interested. No idea if Jonjo's playing or if he is how he's playing as my TV doesn't seem want to let me watch ITV 4 tonight.
  • who's got'm on there fantasy team is the real question here!

Different team tonight. Redmond has been different class.

  • Thing is I always thought that Hodgson would make a great U21 manager.
  • thats a great strike Al
  • Meh, it was only against Scotland.

Like to see him do it against some better opposition....

    ....like Greenland.
  • Here's hoping he rakes in the points for my fantasy team this year

Been raving about Jonjo to mates for years and got a bit of stick when he didn't have the best of times at Liverpool. Already got a couple of apologies so far (especially tonight) and got a feeling going to get a lot more this season.

Hope he ends up being a regular for England in a few years, just wish we could've held onto him for a couple more years.

  • rubbish player - couldn't even get into our team when we were in League One !! :)

  • Anyone see him doing the "swim away" to the Cardiff fans yesterday? Apparently it goes back to a ruck Swansea and Cardiff fans had in 1989 when Cardiff fans jumped into the sea to swim away from their attackers!

Rumours the FA are getting involved also...

Personally, I found it quite funny.
  • pity he couldn't have used his energy standing right by the near post for that corner
  • indeed LL, cost them dear
  • Cue Uncle...

God help them if he goes on ITV.
  • So what if he pisses cardiff fans off he plays for their rivals

I'd have done it if I was him

If it was a cardiff gesture because swansea had shit it as much as they did and swam away and say bellamy wouldve done it to swansea then the cardiff fans wouldve been speaking about it being a legendary piss take

The problem with fans is they can give it but heaven forbid a player give it back

Its not exactly doing an areoplane at man utd is it

  • Or in the absence of Uncle, cue NLA .
  • Well I don't know Uncle or NLA but had a conversation with a Spurs supporter saturday who also doesn't know Uncle or NLA and we both agree how tragically fragile fans are. In my opinion the greatest goal celebration ever was Adebeyor. If my mum and dad had been taunted the way his had then I would have done exact same thing. If Shelvey had taunted them about a diaster where deaths etc had been caused then let the fa get involved. Till then just accept it as banter to which I'm pretty sure he was on recieving end of a lot worse.

Also before anyone else say if a Palace/Millwall player done the same, would I be pissed off? yes of course, would I want the fa involved. No!!!!!!
  • good on him, nothing like winding up the oppos fans, Norwich away when he scored for us I remember the Norwich fans going a bit mental and loved it anyway I'm still waiting for the golf swing celebration!
  • Good one jonjo, made me laugh
  • I don't care what player does anything like that

The adebeyor celebration was ill advised like what jonjo done but both were fine in my eyes

You sing that a mans dad washes elephants and his mum is a whore and he scores and runs to you then you've asked for it

I don't know if jonjo got taunted about anything and if he didn't so what it was to his fans not cardiffs

I think banter at football is better two ways

And I love it when a player gets dogs abuse at a game and then rams it down your throat

Isn't that why we go the passion and the drama

Too many pussies in this world who feel its acceptable to call some one a cnut but scream blue murder if that person says a bit back

Its like the trolling on an internet where people make comments but then asked to make them face to face cry that you are threatening them

If people where more straight up and standing they wouldn't do it

How many cardiff fans that are offended today were scaring women and children in the kings rd recenytly
