People always forget he's only 22. Guy is absolutely quality, just a bit inconsistent. His pass for bonys goal was fantastic as well. Liverpool move came too early for him, but I think he's going to go to a big big club again.
Alan Hansen and Robbie savage trying to brush it under the carpet and say it was guznan's mistake and "rooneys was better" (pahahahaha). What keeper expects the ball to come straight back, 50 yards away and to go into the top corner?!
Rooney's was better. Doesn't mean this one wasn't a fantastic goal.
LOL really?! shelvey's was impossible to stop even if guznan was in the "correct" position. Rooney's he could've saved pretty easily if he was in the "correct" position.
cracking goal, but agree rooneys was better, his was under a bit more pressure and shelveys was not near his own half.
Top player though, should have never gone to Liverpool, should have learnt from Parker, take it one step at a time, but his head was turned and it cost him a couple of years.
Not sure you are fully aware of all the facts surronding the move! He was warming the bench for parky and Charlton were on their arse financially. Liverpool made an offer with enough money to keep Charlton afloat. The decission was more or less made for him by the club. I'm not saying he wouldn't have gone anyway but he had turned down offers from other big clubs. I see no comparisson to parker but that's just my opinion. I thought his move to liverpool was good for him. Maybe not in enough game time (but let's face it, he wasn't getting any at Charlton) but in his training and how they have built him into a much stronger player. That might have happened at Charlton, but that is only a might and at liverpool it did happen. He's trained with some of the best players in the country, played european football. All of this would have been impossible with Charlton. I fail to see why you don't think it was the right move apart from, its your team he left. I wonder if you were in that position you would have said no?
The downside of Liverpool move was he found himself behind that donkey Henderson purely in terms of fee paid justifying purchase. I had my doubts because JJ lacked pace but much quicker now. England must when Gerrard retired. Others mentioned above are different trpes of players.
Henderson has been quality this season, won't be having that.
Isn't it about time we moved on, he's been gone 3 years ffs.
Isn't it abouttime you stopped opening up a thread that say's "Jonjo Shelvey" if you cant stand reading about him? Jesus Christ there are some thick people about.
I can see Hodgson coming for him in a week or so. Why wouldn't he. His form is very strong. Wilshere is crocked, Gerrard will be knackered. Lumphard is finished. No midfielder at Manure deserves a chance. Who English, is playing better than him at the moment?
I don't think form is on Roys mind......... Sadly.

Henderson has been brilliant for Liverpool this season.

It's a dickish thing to say, but I'm going to say it anyway cos when in Rome and all that but...
he has only played in a friendly for England( i think) he would have to play in a competitive international stop him playing for another country (assuming he was eligible)

I think i remember him coming on against San marino in that qualifier we won 8-0! So he has played in a World cup match...could be wrong.
