Players that have shown the most passion for Charlton

  • As soon as I saw the thread title the first player that sprang to mind was Johnny Robbo, always gave 110% and had a passion to wear the shirt (that we sadly lost with players over the past 3-4 years until last season).

Scott Parker had everything but the loyalty.

In saying that if you asked a west ham fan this question one of the 1st names they would say, I think, would be Scott parker.

Jose Semedo, love him or hate him, he gave 100% every game, although rarely matched it with quality.

John Robinson, need I say more.

Scott Wagstaff, like Semedo, not everyones cup of tea as a player but definitely gives his all.

    Scott Parker, had the lot.

Robbie Elliott, Charlton through and through, although not the best keeper we've had in years.

Luke Young, always one of the first players to have sweat on his forehead.
  • I'd second Wagstaff. He is one player who celebrates almost exactly like a fan every time we score.
  • Passionate 11 Bob bolder
Luke young Richard rufus Steve brown Chris Powell (c)
Johnny Robinson mark kinsella Johnny Jackson rob lee
    Carl leaburn jann kermogrant

    Rob Elliott and Dean Kiely.

Wagstaff and Pritchard were the most passionate last season. I even think Ben Hamer was very passionate too. Nobody can question his effort and running to celebrate a match winning goal with his team mates say something.

Chris Powell, Rufus, Brown, Fish, Kish, Bent, Matty Holland and even Jason Euell are up there.

I think we haven't done too badly when it comes to players playing for the shirt.

I know he was awful for us but even Pawel Abbott was always trying to give 110% for us.

Can't believe one or two of you including Parker......absolutely no way whatsoever.
He's airbrushed us from his memory.
How can you say he has a passion/ loyalty to the club.....he never did and never will.
Like Paul Walsh, I've never heard either of them so much as mention our name since the moment they left us.

It's akin to a love affair that goes bad .. passion upon passion while it lasts .. and far too sad to mention when it's all over

Scott Parker, when he was with us, most definitely gave it everything on the pitch.

Robinson, Brown, Kinsella, Rufus and pretty much all of the current team.

Stuart and HH yes. I loved Claus but wouldn't say he had a great amount of feeling for us. He is not that kind of player though whoever he played for.

I think HH is more of a passionate player in general then being passionate about charlton.
