So, without getting greedy, a couple in the sailing, a couple more in the cycling and a couple in the athletics will see us pass Beijing - with tennis and boxing a possible bonus.
We cannot compare our total medals to the top two who have 6 times and 18 times our popultation but compare our performance to other like-sized countries, truly brilliant.
There's also a possible medal in the BMX cycling as well - Shazne Read is expected to win a medal in the women's race. Remember Beijing? She was in silver with bronze way back, she challenged for gold fell and lost out altogether. She deserves something this time around.

I can see 6 more from that
I think we got 4 sailing golds at Beijing, so that looks promising.
The Star class, that's one. Bugger knows about the rest.
Paul Goodison Laser dinghy class
Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson in the Star class
Brilliant.
At the time I thought it was ambitious and right now I still think its ambitious
However if we could get 20 golds I don't think the 50 would matter if the target did not get hit
I would like to think that 25 golds is achievable an would be a feat that we would never beat in my life time
However the slogan of the games is to inspire a generation
And of there are young athletes watching this who knows what it could do
London 2012 the most successful Olympic games for GB ever
that would certainly inspire a generation
They've played 3 all the way through so I thought it was the same.
